Isabel paced across the hotel room again, her bare feet brushing the soft carpet as she twisted her fingers nervously. She glanced at the clock on the nightstand, biting her bottom lip. He had been gone far longer than she expected. She rubbed her palm along her arm, trying to calm herself down but failing miserably. Her mind kept spiraling. What if something happened?
