Run into Danger

Gideon/Derrick's POV 

We head out back towards the forest line as she's pulling my hand and giggling the whole way, "I have the perfect spot to show you it's only a 15 minute run in wolf form I believe. It takes me 45 minutes in human form so our wolves will get there a lot faster." she says as her eyes sparkle with delight. Which definitely tells me it's a special place for her. 

"Lettie baby I told you that anywhere you go I will follow. Would you like to shift now?" I ask, and she nods her head. Then I hear and see her shifting into a beautiful Crimson blood red wolf with silver in her fur, and one of the markings is a filigree crown with a crescent moon on her forehead wrapping around her ears. Her eyes are silver letting me know that Serenity is in control. I approach her and run my fingers through her fur when she stops me

"Don't touch the silver! It will burn you please be careful babe." Serenity says in my head

"Serenity it's okay we're mates your fur cannot hurt me or any members of our packs." I link back. 

"Okay if you are sure your touch is very soothing, but can I spend some time with Derrick?" she pouts laying down at my feet with her head on her silver paws waiting. 

"Yes my sweet Queen. You are absolutely beautiful my sweet" I reply before shifting into Derrick. 

Derrick is obsidian black with silver paws and a crescent moon and rose crown on his forehead with lavender eyes. Serenity is now standing staring in awe of Derrick's form. 

"Serenity I'm Derrick it's nice to officially be in your presence my Queen." Derrick purrs bowing to his Queen. "Just as my human Gideon has said you both are our Queen and we will be by your side forever. Fighting and loving you for the rest of time." 

"Derrick you are just as sexy in person well wolf, and we are so glad you are our mate. We will stand by you through thick and thin, and we will fight alongside you and never in the shadows. So don't expect us to hide!" she growls out the last part so I know she's serious. 

We rub against each other, scenting each other, and she nips my snout then takes off running. 

" She wants a chase!" Derrick says to me

"Well let's go get her!" I say back and Derrick growls in response taking off after our Queen. 

We are chasing after them as we come to a clearing next to a lake, and she doesn't see us. So we go to flank her from her left and as Derrick pounces towards her she flips us into the lake. We pop up out of the water and Derrick splashes Serenity. Climbing out of the lake Derrick shakes out the water and we lay next to each other for a bit. That's when Serenity's head pops up and she sniffs the air so I do the same. That's when I smelt the rotting flesh and decay scent of rogues. 

"Ahhhhhhh get away please don't hurt us." a woman screams

"Derrick move it! Rogues north border 10 minutes past paradise Warriors get here now! There's a woman in danger!" Serenity screams through the mind link to the pack, and bolts towards the sound. 

Scarlet/Serenity's POV 

I take off without checking to see if Derrick was following, but knowing my mate he is. I see a woman trying to protect a small child and they're backed against a tree surrounded by 8 rogues that are closing in. I leap over them and stand in front of them guarding them. I shift back to my human form in full black with my silver knives on my hips thighs and ankles. As Derrick is dealing with several of the rogues the largest one steps towards me. 

"Shift Now!" I say in my royal alpha command forcing him to shift back. As my warriors finally get here holding down the rest of the rogues as I stand face to face with their leader. 

"What are you doing on my land?" I growl out. 

"Oh what do we have here a Royal Crimson Wolf! I thought your breed was extinct. How lucky for me. Once I get you to submit you will bear my pups!" he growls out

Gideon shifts back and stands in front of me growling, "YOU WON'T TOUCH A HAIR ON HER! SHE'S MY MATE!" 

"Gideon enough! I will handle this it's my land." I say pulling Gideon back to my side, "And you! You have no idea who I am, but if it's a fight you want let's go!" I say growling at the rogue dumb enough to challenge me. 

He shifts into his wolf and lunges at me. I side step him as he gets next to me and run one of my blades down his side. Forcing him to shift back to human form

" YOU b***h! " He snarls and charges me again. 

I grab him and flip him onto his back and take a few shots at his ribs. He flips me off into a tree, and I get up as he shifts and runs at me. I flip up onto his back and drive one of my blades into his cerebral cortex killing him instantly. I stand up and pull my blade out and slide it back into my belt. 

"Now anyone else want to challenge me!" I growl out. They all show their necks in submission. "Take them to the dungeon we'll question them later." I say before turning back to the woman and child crouched against the tree, and noticing one of my privates hovering near in his wolf form. 

"Xander what's wrong?" I ask through mind link

"Sergeant I mean Princess I think she's my mate, but I don't know my true mate was Theresa and she rejected me a little over a week ago. I don't understand how she's my mate but I'm drawn to her like I was to Theresa." he replies. 

"I believe that is because she's your second chance mate Xander. May I ask why Theresa rejected you?" Gideon asks and I'm shocked that he can respond to my men. 

"Gideon we will discuss that another day now is not the time." I respond

"Ma'am you are safe now no one here will hurt you or your baby." I say softly and crouching down to her level. "Can I ask what you are doing out in the woods with a baby?" 

"Ummm we escaped their camp when they went to hunt. They killed the baby's mother yesterday for trying to escape with the boy. I knew that he wasn't safe there, and I promised his mom I would do whatever I could to get him out. I'm originally from the Rising Sun pack south of here I didn't mean to cross your borders please don't hurt us. I just wanted to get back to my pack but they cornered us and my wolf is too weak to shift. Ummm is he going to reject me?" She says sobbing and bowing at my feet. 

"Xander go and shift back, and come back over here. She thinks that you are going to reject her." I command him

"Yes Princess. No I don't want to reject her and we can raise that pup together." he replies before going behind a tree and shifting back. 

"What is your name sweetie? No one will ever hurt you again, and that I can promise you. I am Princess Scarlet Seal, but you can call me Scar like everyone else that lives here. This is the Crimson Crescent Pack, also known as the Royal American Pack. This is my mate Alpha King Gideon of the Obsidian Crescent Pack aka the Royal European Pack. Finally this is your mate Xander Hill he's one of my most promising warriors." I say softly as I help her and the baby up as Xander walks over to her cautiously. Gideon wraps his arms around my waist. 

"I'm so sorry for trespassing your majesties." she lowers her head, "I'm Celia Grace Culver, originally from the Rising Sun pack, but I was kidnapped almost two years ago. This little guy is Leo Thorne his mother was Alexis Thorne she was held since she was 14, and died at 22. If you are going to reject me please just do it." She sobs. 

Xander walks over to her and wraps her and the baby in his arms, "I'm not going to reject you beautiful. You and little Leo are now and forever mine. Like Scar has said no one will ever hurt you again." he coos at her

"Alright Xander let's get them back to the compound. I don't know if we have baby clothes, but you can take a car and the black card and get them things they will need tomorrow. For today I will send Tracy to bring her clothes they're about the same size, and I'll see if she saved any of her son's baby clothes to use for now. Bring her to the party after you guys get cleaned up. Xander you have to shift first and we will help Celia get on your back with the baby. She can't ride on our wolves because she isn't apart of our pack yet and the silver in our furs will harm her and the baby. We will follow behind you to make sure that if anything happens you will be able to get her back to the compound safely. " I say and he nods his head and steps away from Celia. 

"Tracy I need you to take a full set of clothes undergarments included and some baby clothes to us on the back porch as soon as possible please. We found a woman and baby being attacked by rogues. She's about your size, but I'm not sure what size the baby is. She is Private Hill's mate." I tell her through mind link

"Yay new members! I'll have to dig out a few baby onsies from storage but I'll bring them right out. Plus I just went shopping yesterday so I have new everything for the woman that she can have. They're part of the family now Scar we will take care of her." She replies excitedly. 

He shifts into his medium sized brown wolf and lays down. I hold baby Leo as Celia climbs onto Shadow (Xander's wolf) causing him to purr at the contact. I hand her Leo and notice Gideon staring at me lovingly. Once Celia and Leo are settled on Shadow, Gideon and I shift too. We all take off back to the compound, and as we approach Tracy is bouncing on her toes waiting for us. 

"oh hi I'm Tracy the pack Doctor, and these are for you and the baby! Shadow go shift so you can take her to my office to get checked out, and then you can take her to your quarters the boys are setting up a crib in there for the baby for now." Tracy says animatedly and Shadow heads to the side to shift back and put clothes on. Gideon and I have already shifted back. 

"We will prepare you, Celia, and Leo your own cabin tomorrow while you are out shopping. Celia Tracy is the best Doctor in the States she's just going to look you over and see what we need to do to get you and your wolf healthy. Tonight we're having a BBQ party, because it's my birthday and I'm so glad you will be joining us. If you want we can initiate you into the pack as well." I say hoping she agrees. 

" Thank you your majesty, I mean Scar. I would love to join your pack seeing as my mate is here and I wouldn't want to take him from his family." She replies. 

Xander takes Celia and Leo following behind Tracy to the medical wing in the south wing. I turn back to my suspiciously quiet mate. 

"Baby what's wrong?" I question. 

"Nothing Tesoro just watching you be amazing. I just wish you would have let me handle that Rogue that disrespected you, but I understand why you didn't." De coos at me wrapping his arms around my waist, and nuzzling his head against my mark. 

"Let's go get ready for the party baby I'm dirty and covered in rogue blood." I say as I start heading inside.
