Anna felt shame and was filled with self recriminations for her wantonness. The man had used her in a profane, perverse way and she had delighted in it. Devlin had been right. When she had agreed to his salacious bargain, she had never imagined that she would be chained and gagged on his bed, that her abuse would be so total, that she would feel so demeaned and humiliated.
