???'s POV
"Gracious your majesty! You should get down at this instant!" The servant that is assigned to watch over me yelled as I was climbing the trees with my bare feet and hands. I didn't mind her as I continued to crawl down a branch clutching at the tree, tightly reaching for the cat. "Here small kitten, it's alright, I'll hold you close to me," I said as I reached for the cat. "A little more just…" I mumbled to myself and to cat when suddenly I heard a familiar step. I panicked and grabbed the cat in a hurry. Suddenly, a crack echoed. I held the cat in my arms, trying to keep it safe. And closed my eyes ready for impact, but then nothing. Instead, I landed on something hard but soft with a sweet scent. A very familiar scent. I slowly opened my eyes to see if it was really him. "When will you ever listen miss?" His cold, sharp tone cuts through the air. The surrounding air suddenly shifted. The servant flinched as the cold air hit them. " I was helping the poor cat. Unlike you, I have a heart," I said as I stood up from his arms with a scoff and a side eye with a small smirk with my excuse. His eyes narrowed as he stared at me in disbelief, as if I was being so unreasonable. " You're a princess miss. So act like it." His jaw clenched slightly as he said those words. I continued to smile so innocently. I saw him rubbing his temper, but I paid him no mind. I saved the kitten. " I'll keep my little whiskers in my chambers, please." I asked him behind me nicely, with a big smile excitedly. I heard him sigh again as we both walked back inside the castle. " You know, her majesty wants to let you have that stray?" he responded with another cold tone. I just rolled my eyes in annoyance. "Do you have to be merciless?" I responded with a soft annoyed grunt. " It's called being honest princess." He responded again, this time with a small smirk displayed, but then it also disappeared suddenly.
???'s POV
When will she ever learn? I shake my head in annoyance as she continues to walk ahead of me. Her heels echoes along the corridor. Each step holds innocence and authority. Yet even so, she still shines brighter, way better and kinder than the other noble ladies out there. She is reckless, free-spirited and just does whatever she wants. "A spoiled princess it is." I shook my head and mumbled to myself as she stopped in front of her chambers. Before she could step inside, I warned her,"You should really not foster that thing in your chambers miss. Her majesty, your mother will be in a rage," I suggested still, with my most normal tone. She just smiled at me before stepping inside her chambers. Leaving me with my thoughts as the silence echoes loudly through the hallway. Everyone says I am too cold, yet I don't pay them any mind. I live my life for myself, and I am only here for a duty my family have been carrying for the entire generation. A role and a duty, where my entire family are the only ones capable of holding and keeping. "Protect the lineage of this kingdom." The words my father always reminded me. How important it is to keep this mission from bloodlines. And so here I am, serving this reckless princess. She drives me insane. I shook my head before walking away, leaving my lingering thoughts behind at that door.
