Chapter 9The two women clung to each other in fright and Bonelle could do nothing but pray. “Please,” she whispered, “please don’t let them hurt us.” Her mother whispered her own fevered prayer as she kissed her daughter’s head, and Bonelle could hear her heart beating quickly in her chest. They were trapped. There was no way they could make it back to the castle in time, and running was not the kind of thing the Grant Clan would do. Even the women.
