POV Miracle

We all made our way back into Andre’s room, it was an hour till lunch. I felt Jen’s eyes on me, I knew she wasn’t buying my explanation of just being curious about dreamscapes. I still didn’t know if I could trust her. I wasn’t ready for the guys to know about my dream. I knew they would be overprotective or forbid me from communicating with Ezra that way. I was hoping that Ezra would bring me into the dreamscape again tonight. I wanted to ask how he created it, and if his ancestor was Ezriah. But more than anything, I was craving his touch.

“Alright, let’s begin, shall we? I hope everyone is wide awake now. We must get through this today. We will be on the road again tomorrow at 5 AM”, Andre announced to everyone. Several of the warriors were huffing or grunting at the thought of 5 AM departure. I wondered where we were going next. I have to admit, I was enjoying traveling and seeing new places. I was enjoying this new life, my anxiety seemed to be slowly diminishing on its own. Or maybe it was this new position I have been thrust into. I knew I had to be strong now, I had to lead my warriors.

I felt like Andre was now trying to avoid eye contact with me. He nodded to Ronny to change the slide. “This brings us to Leilah, our Vampiress if you will. Leilah was created due to Lucia’s lack of knowledge of black magic. She was attempting to create a being that would be able to fully devour her husband”, Andre said. One of the warriors made a snide remark of “Maneater” that got a few chuckles from the others. Andre let out a low growl and the warriors stopped chuckling and bowed their heads to Andre. “As I was saying, Leilah was created to devour Lucia’s husband, but the only thing that Leilah wanted was blood. She didn’t care whose blood it was, just that she needed blood.” “Leilah’s thirst for blood overruled her every thought, and she was reckless. Lucia had no control over Leilah, and soon whole towns were diminished within a night.”

“Lucia was having remorse over the destruction that Leilah created and did try to end Leilah’s life. But she soon learned that she was not able to kill Leilah, no matter what she tried. Leilah would always return the following night.” “Leilah lost all trust in Lucia from the attempts on her life and went into hiding from Lucia. Which made Lucia very angry, that one of her creations had learned to break the bond, and she was unable to locate such a dangerous beast. So, Lucia started her plan to create a beast that would be able to kill Lucia and her husband.”

“Next slide please,” Andre said without looking at Ronny. I still felt like Andre was avoiding looking at me. This was starting to worry me. Why was he avoiding me? “This is when Lucia created Annastasia, but she was very careful. Annastasia was the first Lycan and the only female Lycan. There were other Lycans created but they were all males. Annastasia was the only female created. She was also the only Lycan created that was born by Lucia. The other Lycans were born from other witches in Lucia’s coven”, Andre said as he looked me in the eye. My mother is the only female Lycan? “Does my mother have any other offspring than myself and my sisters Andre?” I asked. Andre looked at me and smiled before he responded “No, your mother only gave birth to you and your sisters, so far”. “What do you mean so far?” I asked. “I just mean that no she has not given birth to any other offspring. But she has bitten others, which resulted in them turning into a werewolf,” he said.

I felt like Andre was holding stuff back by how he responded to my questions. I stood up and walked into the restroom with Jen right on my heels. Once inside the bathroom, I turned on the water to drown out our voices. “What is he not telling me about my mother?” I asked Jen. “I don’t know if I am able to tell you, we all were given orders to let Andre explain everything,” she said. “Orders from who?” I responded. “Andre said that is what your mother ordered,” Jen said. I am beyond pissed now. Why even go to all this trouble, if I was not going to be told the truth? What were they hiding? Why was I not allowed to know the truth? I was the one abandoned at birth, and not thrown into this crazy world. That I was supposed to help save I might add. But I wasn’t privileged to know the whole truth? Is it only bits and pieces of the truth? No, that is not acceptable, and I am not going to be treated like a child by her.

I stormed out of the bathroom and stood in front of Andre. “I WANT THE WHOLE TRUTH ANDRE” I shouted. Andre bowed to his knees in front of me, along with the rest of the warriors in the room. I felt so much guilt seeing all of them bowing. Tears started to stream down my face, and I turned around and ran out of the room. I didn’t know where I was going, but I just needed to run. I could hear Sam and Ronny behind me, but I didn’t want to deal with them right then. I just wanted to be left alone. My heart was racing so fast, and my head was starting to throb, then it happened. I appeared in a field full of beautiful flowers. I couldn’t hear Ronny and Sam behind me anymore. How did I get here? Where was I?

“Welcome back, my beautiful Mate” I heard Ezra say. I turned around till I found him. Did he do this? “How?” I asked him. He just smiled at me. I ran to him and wrapped myself in his arms. I just wanted him to hold me and take all the anger away.
