Derrick is the future Alpha of the Sterling Moon Pack. The Sterling Moon Pack is the strongest and largest pack, they are of Lycan descendants. Their werewolves strength, power and capabilities are unmatched. They are the strongest known shifters, therefore they are the most respected and honored. They are welcomed amongst all werewolves and other shifters pack. Nobody wants to be their enemies.

"Let's head to the pack house I want to show you something" said Kyle, Derrick's best friend and future Beta. While heading to the pack house they saw a few vehicles parked outside. "what do you think is going on? " Derrick asked Kyle. They were getting the scents of many werewolves that didn't belong to their pack. "that's what I wanted to show you, I over heard my parents last night. They were saying the Alpha had to organize a meeting with Alphas from other packs." Kyle said. The two moved closer to try and figure out what this meeting is all about.

When they entered the pack room they noticed a few guards standing outside the conference room." just our luck, they went into the sound proof room." Derrick said really confused. "Did you hear anything else about the meeting" "no I believed they picked up on my scent and started to mind link" Kyle said feeling silly. His parents did that alot. His father is Beta Gideon Jefferson and his mom is Gamma Anna Jefferson, so they'll both know exactly what is happening in the pack. That's why they mind link alot around Kyle. He doesn't like it much though, it makes him feel like they don't trust him.

The two decided to forget about what's happening and went into the game room. They played a game of pool, then went their separate ways. Kyle and his parents don't live in the pack house. They wanted their own little home. It's only one minute walk away from the pack house. Alpha Joseph, Derrick's dad told them he needed his Beta and Gamma as close as possible, so he gave them some land right next to the pack house.

"Are you going to tell our son what's going on?" Luna Maria asked her husband. "of course I am, this matter concerns him the most, I just need sometime to process how we're going to approach the situation. Bare with me my love". He said while kissing his wife's soft red lips. "I hope he'll be okay with it, I don't see it as something he'll disagree with." Alpha said rubbing his head, the truth is he don't know how his son will react to the matter.

"Don't worry my love, you have trained him and show him the ways of being a successful Alpha, you've also been the best father he could ever asked for. I think he'll gladly accept our decision. Now stop stressing and come satisfy your wife, I'm craving that c**k of yours filling me..." before she could finish letting her husband know what she wants he quickly carried her to their bed. To give his wife exactly what she's longing for.

Derrick's in his room puzzled as to what secret their parents have been keeping from them. He noticed his parents has been a little out of sort since is nineteenth birthday eight months ago. Usually the night of their nineteenth birthday they find the mates. The Sterling Moon Pack most of the times mates are within their pack. Only rare occasions they'll find a mate from another pack.

"do you think the moon goddess forgot about us Derrick?" said his wolf Rayn sounding really disappointed.

Rayn was the most excited at his birthday party to find their mate and when that didn't happen he was the most hurt. Rayn sometimes feels like the moon goddess is punishing him for something. "no I think she has someone special for us, they probably not apart of our pack." "then it's our duty to find our mate and keep her protected at all times" Rayn responded with some enthusiasm "even if she don't belong to our pack we'll find her that we must do. I'm trying to save myself until I find our mate." Derrick responded before he went to sleep.
