Chapter.2

The full moon ritual

Gabriela was on her way home after a long day in medical school, she got a call from her sister that her parents where involved in a car accident. She had to rush home to see her parents, on getting there her mother already gave up and her father was in a very critical condition.

When she had that her mother had passed on she wasn't able to hold back her tears, they rolled down her eyes, she cried so much and there was no one to comfort her. She sat beside her father's sick bed and prayed for him to recover.

Father I had promised to make you and mom proud, but I don't think that would be possible if you don't come back to us. Please dad fight your way back to us we can't afford to lose you too. Gabriela said in so much pain while her brother and sister where crying out their eyes.

Benson had noticed he hasn't seen Gabriela around in a while, he got worried and started asking some of Gabriela's course mate of her whereabout but no one was able to tell of her whereabout.

I should have asked her to give me her mobile line, what do I do now. I just can't stop myself from thinking about her.

It's been two weeks and there was no sign or traces of Gabriela around the medical school, it really got Benson distracted and worried. He kept on going to her department to see if he was going to see her but there was know trace of her around.

Gabriela was from a neighbouring town not too far from Maryland medical school, it was a two hours drive to her town.

The full moon ritual is in three day time and I need to be somewhere far from this environment.

The full moon ritual is a ceremony of the werewolf celebration and it only happens once in a decade, all werewolf are expected to stay far from humans. Over the years the humans haunted the wolf because they where sacred of their kinds.

While Benson was getting himself ready to leave the town for the full moon ritual, on his way to the bus station to get a bus, he saw someone who looked exactly like Gabriela from afar dropping at the bus station, while he move forward to his greatest surprise it was Gabriela, he rushed to meet up with her.

"Hello Gabriela." Benson said from behind.

"Hi Benson."

"What happened?" I haven't seen you for weeks and I kept on going to check on you at your department, I even had to ask from your course mate but no one was able to know where you were.

While Benson was talking to her she stood still and wasn't able to say a word.

"Is everything alright?" Benson asked.

Tears rolled down her eyes as he couldn't hold back her emotions.

"Common Gabriela put yourself together and let's look for somewhere to talk."

Benson held her hand and they both went to the nearest restaurant around the bus station.

"Gabriela what happened?" You know you can talk to me.

"I just lost my mom."

"I was on my way home after a long day at the medical school when I got a call from my sister." Telling me my parents were involved in a car accident and that they were at the hospital. So I had to rush home to the hospital where they were hospitalized on getting there my mom had already passed away and my dad in a critical condition.

While she was narrating what had happened to Benson tears kept rolling down her eyes, Benson went beside her and embraced her.

"So sorry for your lost Gabriela." But I want you to put yourself together and be strong for your siblings and your dad as well, you know I am here for you and I will always be here so feel free to talk whenever you want to.

"Thanks Benson." What you doing at the bus station you going somewhere?

"Yes I am going somewhere." I want to go visit a friend on the other side of the town and I hope when I get back you will still be here?

"I don't think so." I only came to inform the school I would be away for sometime and what had happened to my parents.

"Gabriela," I know this is not the right time, but can I at list get your mobile number? That way I will be able to reach out to you and to know how your doing.

"That fine by me." I have to run along now so I could get back to my dad on time.

"Be safe and don't cry anymore." Will call you alright.

"Alright."

Benson took a bus and went as far as he could. It was almost time for the full moon ritual, Benson went into a mighty forest and transformed in to a giant wolf and cried all night. The people from the neighbouring town haven't had something like that in a long time the cry of a wolf. So the following day the sheriff of the town and some of his men went into the woods to see what had happened but they found nothing, Benson had already left for the medical school, the full moon ritual started at 12midnight and ended 4am.

"Hi Gabriela it Benson calling, I wanted to checkup on you and to know if everything is fine?"

"Everything is fine Benson," my dad's condition is stable now and we getting ready for mom's funeral.

"If you don't mind I would love to attend."

"That's not a problem." I would text you the address, it not too far from the media school it just two hour drive.

Benson had attended the funeral which took place in absence of Gabriel's father due too his condition. Benson stood by Gabriela and was really of great help too her and her siblings. He took care of the bills at the funeral even her father's hospital bills as well.

"Benson I really appreciate all you've done for me and my family, I had never thought I could ever have met with someone as caring as you."

"It's all good." I'm glad I was able to be of help and thanks for allowing me too do the little I could. I would be leaving first thing tomorrow morning, I have to attend an important practical session at the medical school.

"Would you like to go with me to the hospital to visit my dad before you leave?"

"I wish time would permit me, but I look forward too meeting your dad soon."

"Once again thanks for everything." You deserve a big hug.

They both hugged each other and Benson left for his hotel room.

At this point Gabriela was already having a soft spot for Benson due to the fact that he was always coming through whenever she least expected.

What a day, I just hope she's fine, why can't I just get her of my head.

While Benson was running through is thought he slept off and woke up at 6am the following morning. He pack up his bad and put a call to Gabriela.

"Hello Gabriela."

"Hi Benson."

"I just thought to put a call though before leaving."

"That was so thoughtful of you I really appreciate."

"How long do you intend to stay away, I mean when you coming back to the medical school?"

"Can't say for now," I still have to take care of my dad while he's still at the hospital, my younger siblings are still in college and need to be in class at all time. I just hope my dad get better soon.

" it's okay Gabriela, would it be okay if I visit you once in a while?"

"Please do." You been of great help too me and my family so your welcome to visit whenever your free.

"Alright Gabriela, I feel so happy you said that." I have to hang up now, I have to find my way to the bus station so I can make it to the class on time, Will call you as soon as possible.

"Alright and be safe."

I feel so happy am getting her attention, hahaha That's too never giving up.

What's going on, I think he's really getting into my head do I need this right now.

"Hello Miss Gabriela Walter." This is doctor James calling from st. Nicholas hospital, I'm calling to inform you that your father just came out from coma.

"Alright doctor am on my way." I just can't wait to see my dad.

"Hello dad." I feels so happy too see you awake, How you feeling dad?

There was know response from her father so she got worried.

"Doctor what's happening, why his he not talking?"

"Common miss Gabriela." He just got out of coma, this thing takes time but not too worry he will be talking in know time.

"Hello Benson."

"Hi Gabriela, I wasn't expecting your call is everything alright?"

"Yeah everything is fine, I just called to inform you that my dad just came out of coma."

"That's really a good news, I'm so happy for you." Send my regards okay.

"I sure will. So how did you practical session go?"

"It went well, thanks for asking." Benson responded.
