Annebelle He scooped me up before I could even finish processing the whole conversation. "Close your eyes.' "What? Why?" I asked as my death grip on his neck increased. "Just trust me." I barely know him but I seem to be trusting him with many things in a short amount of time, so why not. Closing my eyes, I felt a breeze whip through my hair flinging in front of my face until we abruptly stopped and the feeling of whiplash hit me like a ton of bricks, causing my stomach to turn. Slowly opening them, I saw we were no longer on the stairs but instead by the front door, but how's that possible? "How did we get here so fast?" I asked, looking up at him as he set me down "Werewolf speed. How much were you taught in those camps?" "Nothing. Just what we observed they didn't like us to know more about them than what was necessary and they didn't exactly view anything as necessary." "We will go over a few things so you understand more of werewolf culture and a few other things that just may come in handy." "Like your constant changing eye color?" I asked "Is it like a mood thing?" "Caught on to that huh? Yeah, it's a mood thing and our wolves kind of have a say in it. We will go over more later." He grabbed my hand once again, bringing me towards town, which caused my heart to race a bit more. I know we agreed to see the pack but agreeing and doing are two separate things. Alpha Tate We walked around a couple areas of town, showing her a couple of training areas, the newly built human one and the regular ones for wolves. Also, the housing for newcomers, so she would believe that humans really did live here and weren't being treated as slaves. We were making our way to the stores and I knew she would need a few things more than what I had been able to get her earlier. "Here we can go grab you a few more things that you need." She stopped abruptly starring at the store. "Whats wrong?" "Um Its fine the clothes from earlier are plenty I don't need anymore." "What are you talking about there was like three outfits in there you'll need at least a weeks worth." I try to explain but she seemed persistent and I knew something was wrong. Pulling her close to me while holding one side of her face and rubbing her thumb across her cheek. She looked down before saying, "I don't have any money and no way of paying it back right now and you've already done a lot for me, so I don't want to add, to the list. "Look at me your my mate, what's mine is yours, I know you don't fully understand it all yet but overtime you will. I'm going to take care of anything you ever need or want or may even think you'll want you can have no questions asked. I'm going to give you a life you deserve." She continued, looking at me as tears welled in her eyes. I kissed her lips softly before grabbing her hand. "Come on let's go in, then we can head back so you can rest." Opening the door, I noticed Hadley behind the front desk. Her caramel complexion matched my own, while her platinum blonde hair was cut into a pixie cut framing her face. "Tate!" she screamed, running over and pulling me into a hug. Pulling back she looked over at Annebelle, "Is this our new Luna?" "Yes Hadley, this is Annebelle, Annebelle, this is my sister Hadley, she owns the store." "Nice to meet you." She holds her hand out for Hadley who rejects it and pulls her in for a hug. "Finally I get a sister in law there's to many boys around here its dripping with testosterone." She finished while laughing. "So what do you guys need?" "A little bit of everything she has basically nothing." "Ok come with me." as she grabs her hand and points for me to go sit on a couch in the corner. "I'll send her out when I'm done she yells while pulling Annie into the back. I knew Hadley would be the one to get her to open up. Her bubbly attitude was infectious and, at the very least, so would pick out everything Annie would need. It's been two hours and my back was starting to hurt from this awful couch think shes trying to torture men with this devise springs have been slowly digging a hole in my back. I was about to check on them to make sure Hadley didn't give her a coronary when they walked through the curtains with at least twelve bags. Annebelle looked nervous carrying a handful of them while Hadley was smiling, bringing the rest over to me. I stood up, kissing the top of Annebelle's head and grabbing the bags from her. "Thanks Had just charge my account." I said while opening up the door for her. "Welcome Tate nice meeting you Annie!" she squealed as we excited the store. "Did you have fun?" The nervousness still shown on her face. " Yes but that was a lot I lost track after a thousand dollars worth of stuff and more was added." "So it's only money I have more." "It's just a lot." "Annie you don't have to worry about money, never, I have more money than we would use in multiple life times. You'll want for nothing. As long as you had fun and got what you needed, that's all I care about." "OK." I could still see the guilt written on her face even after multiple forms of encouragement. But I know a few weeks with Hadley will pass quickly.
