Chapter 15: The Mysterious Voice

Sophia, Giovanni, and Rachel spun around, trying to locate the source of the mysterious voice. But there was no one in sight.

"Who are you?" Sophia called out, her voice echoing off the stone walls.

There was no response. Instead, the voice spoke again, its tone dripping with malevolence.

"You shouldn't have come here," it repeated. "You shouldn't have meddled in things you don't understand."

Giovanni stepped forward, his eyes flashing with determination. "We're not going to leave until we uncover the secrets of this temple," he said.

The voice laughed, a cold, mirthless sound. "You'll never leave this place alive," it said.

Rachel shivered, her eyes darting nervously around the chamber. "What do we do?" she whispered.

Sophia squared her shoulders, her mind racing with possibilities. "We need to find the source of that voice," she said. "And we need to do it now."

As they searched the chamber, Sophia, Giovanni, and Rachel stumbled upon a hidden door, cleverly concealed behind a tapestry. The door was old and worn, with intricate carvings that seemed to match the symbols on the mysterious devices they had found earlier.

"This must be it," Sophia said, her heart racing with excitement. "This must be the source of the voice."

Giovanni nodded, his eyes gleaming with determination. "Let's do it," he said.
