Sophia's heart raced as she read the final scroll. The knowledge contained within was terrifying, a darkness that had consumed the ancient civilization and now threatened to consume them.
Giovanni's eyes were wide with excitement. "This is incredible," he breathed. "The secrets of the universe, right at our fingertips."
Rachel's voice was cautious. "But what about the curse? What about the darkness?"
Sophia's voice was steady. "We have to be careful," she said. "We can't let the darkness consume us."
But it was too late. As they finished reading the scrolls, the temple began to shake and tremble. The air grew cold, and a dark energy began to emanate from the walls.
Giovanni's eyes were gleaming with excitement. "It's happening," he said. "The secrets of the universe are being revealed to us."
Rachel's voice was terrified. "What's happening? What's going on?"
Sophia's voice was firm. "The darkness is being unleashed. We have to get out of here, now."
But it was too late. The darkness had already consumed them, drawing them into a world of madness and terror. Sophia felt her mind slipping, her grip on reality tenuous at best.
As they stumbled through the temple, the darkness grew stronger, threatening to consume them completely. Sophia knew that they had to find a way to stop it, or risk losing themselves forever.
But how could they stop the darkness, when it seemed to be everywhere? When it seemed to be a part of them?
