Chapter 55: Isn't it a great day?

1209 Words
Sage wasn't really enjoying all the attention she was getting. There were students that were actually brave enough to talk to her, just like now. "Did you guys really see her body?" "How does it feel? Were you scared?"  "Was it terrifying?" "How could you bear to look at that so calmly?"  A group of her classmates gather around her.Eager to hear the reaction and story behind the tragic night during the senior’s camp.  Sage wasn't enjoying the attention, especially when they actually started to crowd her. You could clearly see on her face that she was beyond annoyed with everyone in front of her, but it seemed like no one in the crowd noticed the unpleasant look on the female. Luckily, someone in the room did.  "Can you guys knock it off?" Their class representative suddenly told the crowd off, "Can't you see that she's not comfortable with all of you sticking your nose in someone else's business. Leave the poor girl alone."  One of the students looked at her with a snare attitude, "You sound like you're not interested, Hannah. Last time I checked, you were also gossiping about the incident with the students in the other class."  The class representative rolled her eyes, "Of course I'm interested, but I'm not going to shove myself to pry it out of someone who's obviously not in the mood to talk about it," she fired back. "And what if it was actually traumatizing? What if it was bad and you're all making her relapse the incident? You're all nothing but selfish gossiping bees." Hearing this, everyone decided to go back to their seats. Reflecting on their rude behavior. Hannah, the class representative, looked at their famous classmate before smiling and leaving for her seat.  Sage was indeed thankful, but given all the stress and thoughts in her mind, she didn't quite have any energy to acknowledge the other's kind act.  She sighs in relief as the teacher enters the room. Finally having time to forget about everything she's been thinking of lately. By lunchtime, the trio were all showing signs of unpleasantness and exhaustion as they met up at the cafeteria.  "This day is the most tiring day I've ever had," Daexoen said, sloping on the backrest of the chair.  Styx rested his head on the table, looking equally as tired, "You could say that again. I had like a dozen people trying to chase me around the building."  Sage was silent but shared the sympathy of the two males. She herself had more crazy encounters compared to the one in their classroom.  They sighed, "Who's ordering lunch?" Styx lazily asked the other two, with no intention of leaving his comfortable position.  "I'll go," Daexoen volunteered, getting up to head towards the counter.  The other two were silently sitting, still exhausted from the early morning events they'd been through.  "So, how bad was your day?" Styx started the conversation. Sage sighed, "Ruined," she briefly yet bitterly answered. The two sat in silence once again, waiting for the other male to come back with their food.  "Oh, great you're here!" The two looked up to see the class president. "Wait, you're missing someone. Where's Daexoen?"  "Here?" Daexoen answered hesitantly, only catching the last question of their senior. "Sage, I got you a vanilla smoothie, they ran out of Macchiato," Daexoen distributed the three's lunches before focusing back onto the president. "Something we could help you with, Ms. President?" Styx asked.  The latter smiles at them before showing them three envelopes, "The school officials are entitled to hold a party. You three have been invited as special guests." The three looked at each other, confused and hesitant about the sudden invite and for what purpose they were invited for. "And why are we invited?" Daexoen asked. Margaux handed the invite to each of them, "You three are the center of attention of the school today. Not to mention the three incidents that you've come across."  The trio looked at each other in hesitation. Seeing this, Margaux instantly added to her sentences. "You won't stay for too long, just until some introductions. And I'm sure this would be good for your records," she tried to convince them. Sage nodded at the two, obviously agreeing with the desperate campus president. It doesn't hurt to try, right? And seeing the desperate look the president made Sage conclude that she wouldn't stop until she could get them to agree, which, of course, would have led to a more terrible day than it was.  "We're honored to accept the invitation," Sage answered, earning a grateful smile from the president. "Thank you! Details of the party are on the invite. I'll see you soon!" She said, finally leaving the three with their lunch.  Styx grinned at them as they started to create a new topic for themselves. However, the eldest male couldn't help but feel like someone was watching them, and not just the typical fan and admiration kind, but more of an envious and dark aura.  "You good, Styx?" Daexoen asked him. "Huh? Yeah," he answered, trying his best to forget about the cold eyes locked on them. Sage was walking towards the high school department's bathroom before heading straight to her next class.  She enters the bathroom, seeing that there wasn't anyone else in the stalls. While using the restroom, Sage couldn't help but feel like she wasn't alone anymore. She got out to use the bathroom mirror as well as to wash her hands when she felt like someone was watching her.  "Is someone here?" she asked, but no one answered. "I know someone's here," she thought to herself.  Sage left the bathroom, when a man came out of a stall grinning mischievously. He looked at the stall the female left and entered it. Sniffing the fragrance of sweet vanilla before licking his lips.  "You'll be mine. Mine to have, Mine to take" he said to himself, taking a deep wiff of the scent before leaving. "Just need to delete factors."  Daexoen was walking on the way to his next class when he heard noises coming from a particular room. Curiosity got the best of him as he tried to follow the muffled noises.  He followed the noise to one of the least visited areas of the hall. The reason as to why it was the least visited  was that most of the rooms were storage rooms for the different departments. He entered one of the rooms he thought he heard the noise the loudest. As soon as he entered one of the school's storage rooms, he couldn't help but smell a familiar scent. He was so sure he had smelled it somewhere before, but he just couldn't remember where. When he reached the middle of the room he couldn't help but notice the dim lights and crowded space. Before he could turn back to leave, the door of the room shut closed.  "Hey!" He called out, banging on the door. "Is someone there!" He groaned, realizing he was doped.  Unfortunately, he didn't have his phone with him either. It seems like things aren't going great today.  "Well, isn't it a great day?" he moped, banging his head on the locked door.
