Once they saw their school's president on her way to the hospital, being carried by the ambulance the three decided to go back to the campus with the two agents following them closely behind.
The two couldn’t help but feel worried for the trio. Their expressions were filled with confusion and fear, not knowing what those three got themselves into. Agent Kleio was specifically afraid of his son’s decision in joining the two.
“Brook, why is Styx involved with this? Do you know anything about this?” Agent Kleio asked his partner.
The other looked at him with sympathy, “Sorry Kleio, but even I don’t know what this is.”
“What did those three got themselves into? Why are they there? Don’t they have classes?”
Agent Brook sighed but understood his partner's worry, "You know that I can’t answer that. They’re the only ones who could.” Defeated, Agent Kleio just gave a small nod to his partner.
“Hey, I’m sure they know what they’re doing, at least we both know that they would call us if things got out of hand.” Agent Brook tried to comfort his partner
They both stayed quiet. It was true that they couldn’t answer those questions on their own. But why couldn’t they just tell them? What else were they hiding? More like, why are they hiding? Don’t they trust them? Aside from Sage the two guys were related to the two agents, what are they afraid to say? But even with so many questions they couldn’t do anything more than wait. Wait and hope that the three wouldn’t get themselves into deep trouble.Trouble that they couldn't get out of.
Meanwhile in the other car, the three were talking about their plans once they reached the school. This time it was Styx who was driving and Sage was sitting at the back seat. The two guys couldn’t help but worry for the youngest after they've discussed their plans. There wasn’t a backup for this, they knew this was the only way and not having a plan B worried them even more. Either this succeeds or they fail.
Trying to catch a glimpse of her through the rearview mirror, "Sage, Are you really sure about this?" Daexoen reassured the younger.
Styx looked at the younger as well, "That’s right Sage. You might get seriously hurt." Styx seconded.
The youngest tilts her head looking at them, “Why are you so worried?” She suddenly asked.
The two sighed, “Of course we’re worried you might get hurt” Styx answered
"I'll be fine. Your uncle and father are following, let's just hope she doesn't do anything crazy before then" The youngest was determined with their plan.
She didn’t know why everyone was so frantic. Honestly, ever since they were asked to help their schoolmate she was confused with all the reactions everyone was giving. She wondered why the girl was so scared for her friend. Why the two were now worried for her. Why were the two agents angry. She was confused with every emotion everyone was giving out. But she never asked, she was always quiet once they started to tune in. She didn’t understand anything, that's why she was just silent. She was taught ever since she was little that she shouldn’t ask others about their feelings. She shouldn’t question other’s reactions. So she never did.
she looks at them curiously, “Are you scared for me?” She suddenly asked the two, which they replied with a nod.
She gave the two a confused expression, “Why? Shouldn’t you be happy because we solved the case?.” She asked them.
“Yes, we’re glad about that, but we’re worried you might get hurt,” Daexoen calmly said.
She slowly nods her head, “I guess I understand. If I’m hurt would you feel bad?” She asked again.
The two male looked at each other first, “Yes, we would. We'll be sad if you get hurt. So as much as possible don’t, okay?” Daexoen said, trying to explain to the younger.
“Okay” She answered and went back to looking out the window.
Styx looked at his friend with a questionable expression. He was confused with the female’s questions. No, he was confused with the female. He knew girls were complicated but he didn’t expect them to be like this. Daexoen just shrugged him off, not wanting to discuss it while the female was still in the car.
As soon as they returned to the school it was nearly 3 pm, and classes were just ending by that time. When they got out of the car they saw a panicked Kylie waiting for them in front of the building’s entrance.
The three approached her, “What’s wrong?” Daexoen asked.
The older female started to cry a river at the trio, “Margaux. I don’t know what happened to her. I heard her say ‘She’ll be gone, I’ll have you soon’ and I-- I tried to ask her what she meant, I called her by her name then she suddenly started to scream at me. She was angry she kept telling me never to call her that w***e’s name. I don’t understand what’s happening. What happened to my best friend?!” Kylie started to ramble.
Daexoen sighed at the other's aggressiveness, "Kylie listen to us, that's not Margaux." Daexoen said, shocking the poor girl.
"Wh-what? Wait, why are you two covered with blood" She stuttered. She finally noticed the blood stains on the two males’ uniforms as well as some parts of their face and arms.
Styx shook his head, dismissing her questions. "That doesn’t matter, the thing is, Margaux is in the hospital, you can go, we'll handle this," Styx said.
Puzzled, Kylie still nodded at them, "Th-Thank you. I’m genuinely confused about everything but thank you.” Kylie said as she started to run off to her car.
The three then went into the building, eyes glued at them, but not like before. This time it wasn’t because of their sudden fame but because of the dirt and blood visible on the two male’s bodies. However, like before, the three just ignored the other students and made their way onto the staircase. Unfortunately, they noticed a large number of students trying to follow them towards the council's office.
“Excuse me, I know you’re all confused but for everyone’s safety please refrain from going upstairs and following us.” Styx told them.
Whispers and mumblings were heard from the crowd, "Why? What’s happening?" one student asked.
"We're about to catch a criminal" Styx added, receiving a handful of gasps and whispers from everyone.
"Styx, Daexoen. I think you two should stay here, she might hear our footsteps and get suspicious why I'm the only one going in, plus you both need to wait for your uncle and father to show them where her office is." Sage told them, "Styx, can I borrow your phone?" without any questions Styx handed his phone to the youngest.
"I'll use your phone to record her while I'll use my phone to send a message to Daexoen, once you get the message come in." She explained, earning a subtle nod from the two.
"And what if you can't send a message?" Daexoen asked
"Then if I can't send a message within 20 minutes come and get me" The two just nodded.
The youngest started to climb up the stairs. They just looked at her until they couldn’t catch a glimpse of her silhouette. That’s when Styx decided to ask Daexoen about the scenario in the car moments before.
“So, What was that about? Earlier in the car.” Styx started
Daexoen gave a small smile, knowing quite well this conversation would happen eventually, “Sage, I noticed her expression every time we talked. Sometimes she would just look at us with confusion, her brows would align and she’ll tilt her head as if she was trying to understand” Daexoen said as he started to sit on one of the stairs.
“What do you mean?” Styx asked as he sat beside his friend.
“I think she’s confused or she doesn’t understand how we feel. Like she’s genuinely confused why we feel how we felt. Why we’re so happy talking about random things, why everyone is so worried.” Daexoen said.
“I see. I noticed that too, I just didn’t mind at first” Styx answered.
“I guess she just doesn't like to ask? Or she was taught like that”
“She couldn’t resist asking earlier then” Styx added.
Daexoen stilled for a moment, thinking about the female, “Maybe she was already tired of keeping quiet.”
Styx shrugged, “Maybe. Guess we’ll have to explain it to her then.” he answered casually, like it wasn't a problem that they should consider.
Daexoen looked at him, “Yeah, we should,” he smiled.
They both stayed quiet. He admits that sometimes he also lacks sympathy to others, he just tries to analyze his situation and outcomes before talking to others but the youngest was different. She couldn’t truly interpret others, it was hard for her to sympathize with her surroundings.
Daexoen knew Sage was different, and so he swore he would try to understand the youngest, and how her brain comprehends things. He was glad that Styx was on board with him. He felt relieved knowing he wasn't the only one who finds this a problem.
Meanwhile, the youngest was already in front of the president’s office. She quietly knocked on the door before getting permission to enter. Once she did, she saw her sitting on her chair scanning through files and documents.
The president looked at her before going back to her work, "Ms. Enigmeria? What do you want?" She asked.
"I just want to greet the greatest pretender I know. So how's your twin doing?" Sage said as she held the other’s wrist.
Before coming here the trio actually created a script for her, Daexoen was concerned with her lack of understanding that it wouldn’t be enough to trigger her. Luckily, Sage was easy to teach.
The ‘president’ was caught off guard by the younger’s sudden statement, she didn’t know how to react with the sudden burst of the other. She stiffed but continued to play her role.
"I don't know what you're talking about" she coldy said as she pulled back her wrist from the younger’s grasp.
"Really? I can clearly feel that your pulse is accelerating indicating that you are lying, not to mention the sweat from your forehead. The air conditioning is quite high yet you're sweating, indicating you're nervous and worried. The quick shaking of your hands, and your jaw suddenly intensifies and you are angry and upset. Well, aren't you feeling a lot of emotions today Ms. 'President'. I bet you also felt this type of rage whenever she comes near him" She said, trying to trigger her. "You're pathetic. You're really willing to take a life just for a boy? How stupid yet also dumbly desperate" Sage saw the intense anger of the other, but stubborn as she is, she continued to pretend cluelessly.
Although anger was evident in her eye she continued to act “What are you saying Ms. Sage? Have you gone insane?”
"Hmm... Maybe? But coming from you? Guess I really am, what's with that guy that makes you so head over heels for him? How pathetic."
Like a gun, that question pulled the trigger. It was like a click in her that suddenly had her spitting out every confession she did. Every desperate move she committed was out.
“You don’t know anything! I was there first! He was mine! But why is everyone leeching onto him!? I did everything for him to notice me! I studied my sister’s move, and schedule so that I could be with him. I even declined going back to Europe for him! I sacrifice everything! He deserves to be mine” She suddenly burst, throwing the nearby stapler on the table towards Sage. Luckily, the younger one dodged the flying object.
She slapped her hand on top of the table, “I destroyed every obstacle going against our relationship! First, that slut teacher, she thinks Jonathan would like her? She was practically going naked for him! That b***h! So I did it.” She paused as she laughed like a psychopath remembering her actions.
"Not yet, she still hasn't confessed to what she did to her sister. Just a little more time." Sage told herself.
“So I used my parent’s connection as well as my sister’s position in the student council just so I could get rid of that w***e. And I did, but then Jonathan became the adviser of the arts club. Every girl wanted to enter the club. Can you guess what I did?” she psychotically asked the younger.
Sage looked her dead in the eyes, "You threatened them as you did to me, but you didn't threaten those who had a lover so that everyone won't be suspicious. You didn't want them to be around the teacher. I heard one of the girls was in an accident. She accidentally fell down. It was you right? You pushed her."
The 'president' laughed, “You really are smart like what they said. Yes! I pushed her, She was so stubborn, she would believe my warning, so there she is now. Lying in the hospital. Then you came” She said as she glared at Sage.
“You wanted to join the club as well, even though you listened you were still going near him. I would have done something to you but you’re always with those freshmen! Little princess with her annoying princes” She gritted her teeth
"Then why Margaux? Why did you get her into this?"
“She found out I was replacing her, she was angry. Isn’t she stupid? She really thought she could stop me? So I drugged her and forced her to let me take her place. And because my saint of a sister is too nice she actually agreed.” She laughed.
"But she was also getting close to him" She stopped laughing after hearing Sage’s sentence. She began to bawl her hands into a fist.
"She flirted with my Jonathan!" She screamed and threw a pencil holder towards Sage. "Every single day he always looks at her in her room, they're always together because of those stupid club activities. He praises her and talks about her like she's a Goddess, every time I talk to him he always mentions her! It's always Margaux! What does she have that I don't?! So I threatened her, I threatened to kill her the next time she comes near him"
"And you did," Sage continued.
"They were the only ones in the room, and Jonathan started to mention every single fvcking memory they had. He confessed, He confessed to my sister!" She was furious- that Sage understands,
What the younger doesn't is why she would feel that? Why was she so angry? Why was she so obsessed with him? She doesn't understand the meaning behind those emotions. She could barely even understand how she was feeling.
Although confused, Sage needed to stick to the script, "He kissed her, and you decided to kill her because the boy you liked actually fell in love with your sister. How pathetic yet also quite pitiful." The older saw red after the younger's statement.
The older gave a sinister grin,"I didn't kill her. I just stabbed her."
Sage secretly texted Daexoen. However, the older wasn't done with her confession. She quietly listens to the older as she continues to rant about her anger and crimes.
"I stabbed her multiple times and left her bleeding to death in a hotel room. I didn't kill her, I made sure she suffers before she does" She laughed hysterically then turned towards the younger with a now serious expression. "Just like what I'm going to do to you."
