As soon as they reached the parking lot, they immediately entered Styx’s car. Lucky for them Styx was prepared with a ride if anything like this happens. It’s funny how they were running through the hallways trying to avoid bumping into other students and teachers yet still managed to send some students falling on the ground.
The problem was, no one knew where they were headed. It was a race with time and they had to risk every bit of it. Because of their disadvantage, Daexoen decided to take the wheel so that Styx can navigate.
“Styx, did you record the places both numbers went?” Sage asked as she adjusted herself on the passenger’s seat.
“No, but I could find out in a moment. Just give me a sec.” He said as he began to type on his laptop.
“Daexoen, Start driving, we need to leave now. Lunch is almost over. If we can’t leave now we might not be able to get out” Styx said as he glanced at the closing school gate.
Daexoen gave an understanding nod and began to drive out of the parking lot. However, they were noticed by the security Guard, who then tried to block their way.
“Hold on” He told the two as he accelerated the car trying to get through the guard who was trying to signal them down.
Both Sage ang Styx held onto their seats as the speed of the car accelerates to leave the campus. Fortunately, they got out of the school without running someone over or got themselves into serious danger.
Daexoen drives them into a highway, slowing down with the lack of direction they needed, “I got it. I think they brought her here.” Styx said as he showed Sage the subdivision he located.
Sage examines the place, “It’s not a big area but I don’t think we have enough time to look at the whole place,” She said.
Daexoen catches a short glimpse of the location, “Wait. I know that place.” He said, looking at the area more carefully, “Right, there’s an old hotel there. Aside from different residential houses it could be where she brought her.” He added, before returning his focus to the road ahead of them.
Styx however gave a different suggestion, "But what if they have an extra house there?" He asked.
The three grew quiet realizing the major possibility, "We can't search each house. It's better to go to the most convenient location." Sage suddenly said, "If she's not in the hotel then that's when we start to worry about the problem" she added.
The location wasn't far but it would take them a decent amount of time. Sage however continued to stay silent the whole ride. Analyzing the possible scenarios that could welcome them once they find their location.
It wasn’t long when they reached the hotel. All three students instantly went to the front desk.
"Excuse me" Daexoen said to the front receptionist. "Was there a female student wearing the same uniform as ours that came here?" Daexoen asked.
The receptionist looked at them from head to toe, "Yes sir, she was just here a few moments ago."
The three looked at each other. Both male gave a sigh of relief knowing that they didn't need to give extra effort. "Did she rent a room, what is the number?" Styx asked.
Sadly, the receptionist declined their request, “I’m sorry sir. But we’re not allowed to give out our client’s personal information to other people ”
The two male grew impatient with the female, “Damn it. Ms. That girl is a psychopath! We need to find her” Styx intervened.
However the employee stood stubborn, “I’m really sorry but I really can’t allow that” She insisted.
The two grew serious. Their facial expressions turned cold but their eyes were burning with frustration. The receptionist shivered with the sudden shift of the two male.
“Call your manager.” Daexoen was full of authority, which caused the receptionist to follow quickly.
“Is there a problem?” The newly arrived manager asked.
Trying to keep their cool Styx initiated the conversation, "Look. We need to know someone's room number. That girl is a psychopath and she's keeping one of her victims in this hotel." He said.
“We’re sorry but we can’t give out personal information. If that’s true then we need a search warrant for sure claims” The managers said.
The two grunts in irritation. "Okay we'll leave and get a search warrant that will be processed for two days and once we come back here and the victim is dead, your hotel will be forced to close for hiding a body, before you argue with me." Daexoen started to threaten, ignoring the frighten expression of the two employees. "That will be possible and the owner will be arrested with all the employees for accomplice murder. You are being informed yet you still disagree to help, making you guilty for helping a killer undergo murder. And even if you won't get that case, do you really think your hotel will stay foot once the media and the people find out that a murder happened here and the employees and staff helped cover up the murder? Now I'm asking you again WHERE. IS. THE. ROOM?" Daexoen firmly said. His voice was deeper and colder than it was. You could feel how serious the boy was with his claims and how determined they were on getting the room number.
The two employees looked at each other. They were not denying the fact that they were indeed threatened after hearing the boy’s claims. They realized the consequences if they were to turn down the trio once again. He was right, even if they weren’t arrested the hotel could get demolished once everyone hears about the place being a venue of murder. The hotel itself wasn't doing such a great job, much more if the news spreads out. They’ll be crushed.
The manager sighed in defeat. “Follow me” He said after getting the needed data. And guided the three to the room.
As soon as the door was opened the three burst into the room trying to find the president. The room was exceptionally spacious for a suite. Because of the excess space the three needed to split up to cover the whole room.
“Guys!” Sage shouted when she realized the bathroom door was locked.
The other two rushed towards her, “Margaux? Are you in there?” Daexoen asked as he banged on the door the moment he arrived.
Styx followed with continuous knocks on the door, “Ms. President, are you there?” he yelled.
Sage signalled the two to be quiet for a moment, trying to hear if there was a faint sound coming from the other side of the bedroom. Relieved was an understatement when the trio heard faint knocks coming from the other side of the door.
Daexoen began to kick the door down when they were sure that the president was in there. It took him at least three attempts before he was able to break the door down. The two males rushed in as they saw her laying on the cold floor. It wasn’t a nice scene to see.
The poor girl was bathing in her own blood. She was covered with deep stabs and slices around her body. She was barely even breathing.
Luckily, Sage was prepared for a scene like this. While the two male were arguing with the staff, Sage already contacted the Agent on where they were and that they needed an ambulance as soon as possible. It was perfect timing when they found the president, the ambulance and the agents were already by the door of the hotel room.
Followed by the paramedics came two frantic Agents, “What happened?! Styx? Daexoen? Sage? Why are you here?" Agent Brook started to yell at the three the moment he entered the hotel room with a worried Agent Kleio behind him. "Is this what you’ve been hiding from us?” He asked after seeing the unconscious student being carried away by the paramedics.
Agent Kleio immediately launched at his son, “Styx?! Are you alright? What the hell were you three thinking?!” He exclaimed.
Sage casually looked at the two, "I told them to contact you first before doing anything."
Styx and Daexoen looked at the younger, "If we waited for them the outcome would have been much more severe." Daexoen said.
Sage nodded, "I know. But I weighed out the possibility of bumping into her in this hotel." she said.
"You knew she would move today. You were hesitant because you don't know how we'll handle the situation" Daexoen concluded, earning a nod from the youngest.
"I don't know how the circumstances would turn out if we were to arrive with the suspect in the room." she added.
The two agents looked at each other confused, "You know who did it?" Agent Brook asked.
However, the three chose to ignore them. "So that's it? That’s why this was so confusing. I can’t believe she would do that" Styx said, as they realized who the person behind this cruel act was.
"Guess blood is not always thicker than water," Daexoen suddenly added.
“We’re confused here. You three know who did this?” Agent Kleio asked but was rudely set aside by the three as they continued to talk amongst themselves.
Everyone in the room was like dead air to the trio, "But we can't just catch her, we don't have enough evidence" Daexoen said.
The three stood in silence, figuring out how they could catch her in the act."You're right, then we'll just make her confess." Sage suddenly said, formulating a great plan to catch her.
“Don’t tell me” Styx started but was cut off when he saw the younger slowly nod
The two guys were skeptical.
They didn’t like the idea that came to mind but they knew they didn’t have much of a choice. It was either this or the suspect would be off. The question is; Can they do it?
