They first went to Lexie's assigned house hoping to find any lead or evidence about the female's sudden disappearance. Tricia ang Keia stuck close to the trio.
"That's her bed." Keia said to Sage, pointing towards the bed closest to the door.
"I checked the doors and windows of the room, even the house, there were no signs of any forced entry. So k********g isn't an option. It seems like she willingly left." Styx said, approaching his friends.
Daexoen nodded his head, “Her bed was fixed into a messy position indicating her intention of creating a decoy, we're usually monitored by teachers in the middle of night to make sure we haven’t left the rooms." He said as he examined the strategical placement of things on her bed.
Sage glanced towards the two females, “Did she tell you anything? Like what she’s up to?” she asked them, unfortunately she was answered with head shakes and mumbled no's.
Keia had tears threatening to fall on to her cheeks, “Lexie, would tell us if she would leave. Where is she?” She said, trying her best to straighten up her voice.
Sage walked towards the room's window. The room they were in was one of the ground floor rooms making it easy for them to look at the outside clearly. Luckily for them Sage's keen sense of sight helped her notice a particular detail left on the soil just outside their house.
Without taking her eyes off the ground she asked the other two females, “Does she own boot heels?”
All four of them looked at her in confusion, “Yeah she does. I think I remembered her bringing it." Although confused, Keia still answered her question.
Tricia looked at her harshly, "What the hell does that have anything to do with our friend?" She askee.
Sage turned to look at her boredly, "A Lot” she answered before going out of the room.
The four mindlessly followed the youngest. They went to the side of the house to find footprints leading to the back part of the area.
“I asked because of this." She told them, pointing towards the now visible prints. "The prints are from heel boots. I don't actually know what they’re called. Weird to find them there since the students would usually just head straight not to the corner of the house.” She added.
Tricia raised an eyebrow, “How sure are you that they belong to Lexie?” she asked.
“We don’t but can’t hurt to try right?” Daexoen said before leading them to the direction of the footprints.
Keia held onto Tricia's arm as they walked towards wherever they were headed. The path they took was shallow, it was a bit past the forest, making it a bit overwhelming for the two. It seems like they were headed to the back part of the camp site. The two stuck close to each other, overwhelmed by the path they were taking at the same time their thoughts were clouded with worry about their Friend's safety. While the trio bravely ventured the journey, unfazed about their somewhat creepy location.
"It looks like she went there." Styx said as he pointed towards an abandoned warehouse not too far from the camp bht far enough to be concealed.
The warehouse was a bit old, it felt like one jump from someone would h
make it collapse in an instant. Sage looked at the possible distance from the campsite to the warehouse. Strangely, the warehouse was directly placed behind their house. If you look at it, Sage's assigned house had an almost clear view of the warehouse if there would have been windows at the back portion.
“Should we go inside?” Daexoen asked his female friend.
She nodded, "Just be careful, your arm is still healing." Sage answered before gesturing to the other females to follow.
Since Styx was the only capable male in the group he was assigned to open the double door entrance of the warehouse.
The two females were a bit expectant to find their friend the moment they opened the doors, sadly it wasn't what they saw. The place was empty, there wasn't anyone or anything in the warehouse, just dust and worn out woods. However, they still decided to look around the place hoping to find any next lead or evidence about the missing student.
"Keia, It looks like Lexie isn't here. I don't even think she would come here. Let's go" Tricia told her friend the moment they decided to spread out.
Keia looked at her pleading, "Trish, please let's just give the benefit of the doubt. Maybe it really was her footprints." She begged.
Tricia rolled her eyes, "I don't understand why we needed to contact them." She said as she pointed towards the trio. "They're just a bunch of wannabes."
"Trish, You should know if it wasn't for them we wouldn't have had a clue where to start." Keia said, trying to convince her friend. "And you should be grateful they decided to help us. We couldn't have done this alone." She scolded.
Tricia rolled her eyes, "Whatever." she said before walking towards one of the unchecked rooms of the warehouse.
The room Tricia opened was covered with dust and compared to the other rooms it was darker, to the point she needed a torch. She took out her phone to get some light but the moment she flashed her torch light she stumbled upon an unexpected scene.
"AAAAHHH!" she screamed, falling to the ground with fear and pain.
The four quickly got out of the respective rooms they checked. They were running towards the crying female who was cowering with fear as she pointed towards the room.
"Trish! What's wrong?" Keia asked her the moment she was close to her friend.
Sage then pulled out her phone's flashlight followed by the other two before flashing it towards the inside of the room. And what welcomed them was something no one should have witnessed.
The scene was gruesome. Keia started to burst out the tears she thought had run out. She hugged her friend as they both cried out. However, unlike the two the trio looked at the room's content with a calm and unfazed expression.
“Daexoen, Call the teachers and staff." Sage casually instructed. "And I think it's time for the call to your uncle and agent Kleio. This is now a crime scene.” Daexoen nodded before running out of the warehouse to call for the teachers as well as the two agents.
The other two were left to supervise the two females. They silently looked at the distressed friends.
“Why? Why did this happen to her? She’s a good person." Keia cried out.
“This is gruesome." Styx said with pure disgust. "Who would do this?”
They looked at the room, inside it was their missing friend, hanging on the room's wall, and in the most gruesome state a person could witness and go through.
“A Psychopath.”
However, they failed to notice the one person who has been spying on them since they've left the lounge until in the warehouse. He stood in the dark, grinning at the group.
"Well, that was sooner than I expected. I thought they wouldn't find you until the second day." He thought to himself.
"No matter. At least she got ro see my greatest masterpiece so far."
He tried to contain his laughter to himself. He continues to look at the now group of four, especially the youngest female. He grinned.
"Just a bit more and we'll be together. I'm almost done, soul. Three more letters." He thought as he looked at the only person he set his heart to.
