Theo's POV : I parked my car and went inside my home. Calling this place home feels like an acid in my mouth, I thought. I went straight to my room and sat on the bed opening the book I got from the library. Opening the cover I saw an old photo of a lady in her mid 20's along with a small girl who had striking blue eyes and dimple chin. They had the same striking resemblance, I thought of the strange girl I met inside the library and how sparks danced across us with just a brushing of our fingers. I smiled, keeping the photo back inside the book. She was the last one who was reading this book, there are chances that this photo might belong to her, I thought to myself. I continued reading the book and I don't know when I fell asleep. My phone rang disturbing my sleep. I opened one eye and looked at the caller id, it was my friend Kayden. Attending the call, I spoke to him after which I disconnected the call sighing. Keeping the book down, I grabbed my car keys, before shutting the door behind. I reached Kayden's place and saw familiar cars already parked in the driveway. Loud music, booze, sweat and horny people is what all I saw as I walked inside pushing open the door. Kayden was sitting near the bar. "Hey," I said walking up to him. "Theo, my buddy," he slurred trying to get up from his seat. I pushed him back on the seat before ordering a beer for myself. I searched for the familiar blonde hair and found Mason as usual flirting with chicks. He waved looking at me and I nodded my head before turning my attention to Kayden. He was chucking down shots after shots. Mason joined us and together we drank our heads off. Keeping the glass down, I saw "Alice" aka the captain of the cheerleading team approach us. I made a face before turning around and pretending to talk with Kayden. I stealthily got up from my seat and disappeared into the crowd. I went to the back porch and sat on the staircase. Taking my phone out I looked at the wallpaper of us, my twin sister "Mia." My vision blurred as I felt my throat constricted. I dry heaved on the ground, holding my head with my hands before coughing out loud. I stood up trying to steady myself. Climbing back the staircase I found a guest bedroom and plopped myself on the bed before passing out. "Mia, Mia, Mia, stop. I'm coming," I said panting. "Slow poke," she said giggling and running even faster. Catching my breath I started to chase her again. Mia swiftly took a right turn going inside an alley while I kept saying, "Naa, Mia. Don't go there, it's not safe. Suddenly I heard a scream which made me stop on my tracks. "s**t," I muttered running faster screaming "Mia, Mia," but an eerie silence prevailed. "Mia, stop f*****g playing like this. Come out, please," I said looking around and searching for her. "f*****g hell, Mia. Stop it," I screamed as I sat upright on my bed looking around frantically. "f**k," I screamed tugging on my hairs panting. Getting up from the bed, I took out my phone from the back pocket. I had two missed call notifications from an unknown number. Shrugging my shoulders I kept the phone back into my pocket. Grabbing the car keys in my hand I decided to leave for my home, since it was already past 2 am. Reaching my home, I sat on the sofa sighing. Laying my head on the head rest I closed my eyes. It was all my fault. I shouldn't have let Mia go alone that day. I should have accompanied her. I opened my eyes looking around the living room. Every photo of Mia and myself had been replaced with either paintings or some other family photo. Not wanting to be alone anymore, I decided to change and go for a jog as I still had time before the school started. When I came back from jogging it was already nearing 7 am, so I quickly took a shower and left for school. Parking my car in the parking lot, I went straight to my first class which was "Chemistry" and took a seat on the last row next to Kayden who was having his head down. I looked around and saw a girl entering inside the classroom wearing a hoodie with her heads down. I felt like she was the girl I saw in the library yesterday. She settled on the farthest corner of the seat on the first row keeping her bag down. The class started but my attention was totally on her. She had her head down taking notes and listening intently. By the time lunch break rolled down, I decided to go up and talk to her as my curiosity was killing me. But before I could even reach her table she was out of the classroom. I sighed, shaking my head before walking to the cafeteria with Kayden and Mason. Keeping our bags on the usual table we went to order our food. I averted my gaze paying for my order before taking the plate in my hands. As I approached our table I saw someone sitting on our table with a hoodie on. I smirked knowing it was the same girl from our class. Seeing Mason keeping the plate down on the table, she hurriedly got up and left. Mason shrugged looking at me. We continued to eat our lunch talking about our upcoming concert. As we got up from our seat, I saw a small pocket journal lying down. I quietly picked it up and kept it inside my pocket before walking out of the cafeteria. I saw that girl sitting outside the cafeteria under a tree with her hoodie down. I approached her as quietly as possible. Her hair was jet black and cascading her face. I tapped on her left shoulder before coming around and standing in front of her smirking. Everything around me blurred as I looked into her piercing blue eyes. They were like a deep ocean trying to engulf me into the endless abyss. She snapped her fingers in front of my face breaking my trance. "Huh… Hi?" I whispered looking away. She huffed crossing her arms looking at me incredulously. "You're journal," I said, taking it out of my pocket. "Oh," she whispered, taking it from my hands. I saw the same tattoo in her hand and I smiled rubbing my neck. I was right, she was the same girl I saw inside the library yesterday and no wonder I'm feeling something strange. "Thank you," she said, tucking the journal inside her bag. "You look beautiful," I blurted out and she looked at me wide eyes before pulling the hoodie over her head. "s**t," I muttered realising my mistake. Adjusting my bag, I turned around to leave but stopped on my tracks as I heard her saying "Stop." I turned around and looked at her. "The book you took from the library yesterday had a picture inside it. Did you umm see it?" She asked, twisting the ring in her finger. "No," I said as I tilted my head. Her eyes welled up with unshed tears which tugged on the cords of my heart. I mentally chided myself before turning around and walking away…
