Everything hurt. I could hear beeping. It was really f*****g annoying and I wanted to shout at someone to turn it off but no sound came out when I tried to speak. What happened? Where am I? Why is it dark? Brain fog clouded my thoughts but then a memory of a cyclist hitting me flashed into my head.
Ohh goodness. Yeah. I walked out into the path of the cyclist. I’d wanted to panic Owen, to make him see what he’d be missing if he lost me. Why does everything hurt so much though. I remembered hitting the floor a lot harder than I’d expected to and then. Oh my god. The car. I was hit by a car! My heart rate rapidly increased and the beeping got louder. My eyes opened and saw my worried parents next to my bed calming me and holding my hand.
