Chapter Eight

1005 Words
Sophia’s POV I could recall wolfing out earlier on my way to Maya’s house. But then what does wolfing have to do with invisibility? I’d never heard anyone say they became invisible after wolfing out. “It’s your gift. You should accept it wholeheartedly and for your safety, you have to keep it a secret.” A tiny voice that sounded so fragile and scared said on the inside of me. What was that? “Who are you?” I asked. “I am Tilly. I'm your wolf.” The voice responded. My eyes bulged out as I felt butterflies run wild in my stomach. I had waited a long while for this beautiful day. “Where have you been all these while? I have been so humiliated and rejected because you weren't there.” “I am sorry you had to pass through all of that. I am here now and I will always be with you even through thick and thin.” Tilly said, this time her voice was way bolder than before. I found it hard to accept that I had become invisible. That explains why the guards weren't able to see me else I would have been in a very big mess today with the Lycan. “He is our mate right?” I walked inside briskly with my head tilted to the ground emanating the sadness and pain that I felt within. “Why so sad?” Tilly asked. I was already beginning to fall in love with her voice. It sounded thin yet filled with all the love and emotions any wolf would ask for. I was glad to have her with me. At least it was an assurance that I wasn't alone in my little dark world. “He doesn't want us,” I said, letting out a deep sigh. My bed was neatly fixed attracting me to place my heavy burdened body on it for rest. “I won’t blame him. I'm a weak omega after all he has every right not to want me.” I added, releasing the bun of my hair. “He rejected us?” I scoffed. “Not on my watch, I rejected him first.” ***** Aiden’s POV It was night already and everywhere was cold. That omega had the guts to reject me under my roof. “My Lycan, you called for me.” the servant said, bowing before me. “You said you saw her and then you didn't see her again?” Squinting at the figure before me. “Speak else you'd regret being birthed.” I threatened, hitting my fist hard on the desk before me. I could feel him trembling in fear. Yes, exactly how I love people to be whenever they are around me. I'd always been a tough guy with a sweetheart. People see the tough part but not the sweet part because the tough part is what I want them to see. It commands respect and obedience. Only a few people have experienced that sweet part of me and it hurts me so much that Sophia is part of those people. For the moon’s sake, she rejected me. No one had ever thought of that before but she did it anyway. There must be something special about her that I do not know of. Something must have given her the guts to reject me to my face. It hurts me so much that I find it hard to control my wolf most times, whenever she is around. He just wants to be around her but I don't want that. She is less for me and she can't even withstand my wrath. Rising to my feet, “Are you going to speak of do I make you speak?” “I will tell you all I know sir,” his voice echoed slightly, he fell on his knees, palms placed on the floor with his head bowed the the floor, “At the garden earlier today, I spotted her my Lycan. I ran towards her to offer a glass of freshly squeezed lemon grass juice but then, she was more.” I inhaled and exhaled, uncertain about what to do or say next. His whole story wasn't in any way adding up but one thing I knew about this particular servant of mine, was that he never lies. “Leave my presence.” I scorned and he screamed out of the study. This was enough to clarify my suspicions about that omega. There is something she is keeping from me. A wolf with the power of Invisibility is a big one. Reluctant about jumping to conclusions yet, I communicated with Yata through the mind link, scheduling a meeting for early the next morning. I want to carry out some more investigations on this omega before having anything to do with her. Something is definitely off about her but I can't seem to place my finger on it. “Mate.. Mate.” Stan wailed and I felt a little pity for him. “It's alright buddy, everything is going to work out perfectly well trust me. That was why I had to stand up for us and reject her rejection.” Everywhere was silent, Stan is too weak to reply. Sophia throwing rejection at us felt like a stab in the heart. One which would take a long time to heal up. I guess she is stronger than I imagined. An omega rejecting a Lycan, that's impossible. It had never happened in the history of werewolves and lycans and not on my watch would I allow such a terrible act to begin with me. I would rather end whoever wishes to start that than bring shame to my ancestors, “Who?” I responded to the fragile knock on my door. “The door is open,” I added. Speaking about the devil herself. I wonder what she has come here to do. Trust me to break her skull and feed on her flesh effortlessly.
