Sophia’s POV
It had already been few days already, and I was feeling much better. Yata had been incredibly kind and helpful to me. As an aspiring new member of the pack, I'm obligated to meet the Lycan. He must be informed of my stay. Yata already made it clear to me.
"You're really beautiful" Yata rained compliments on me as I stood before the mirror getting ready. I smiled at her compliment.
Observing myself in the mirror, I couldn't deny the truth. I retained a striking beauty with golden brown hair, I had this enchanting grey eyes, and a gracefully appealing physique which made everyone adore my figure.
Back at moonville pack, the jealousy from other girls was a constant reminder of my unique charm. Initially, I didn't like my body but then I grew to love my body so much.
"Do I have to meet him? Is that really important?” I asked Yata, who patiently waited for me as I sluggishly got ready.
"Why? Because you feel that he is a vicious monster who kills without any form of compassion?" she questioned, perceiving my fear. In response to my reaction, she chuckled.
"My dear listen to me, you don't have to believe everything people say to you.Certainly a lot of people will come talking about their different they heard. But, For what it's worth, I have known this man for a very long time. Trust me, He is more like a good friend to me, and I will be super honest with you here. He is a very kind man."
Despite all she had said, I was still not convinced. "You are still scared. Take a deep breath Sophia, You have nothing to worry about. Nothing at all." she assured me.
“There is a festival which will be holding today. Around the Lycan’s Mansion. We could just go there. There you can clear your head.” Yata suggested.
“Is that a good idea? What about my bruises?” I questioned. “I can handle that. It's a small issue. I'll get you some herbs, some would be swallowed, the other is to be absorbed by your skin, so you'll apply it directly to your bruises.” Yata remarked.
I took a deep breath, rethinking through the offer. “Is that a good idea? Will I be able to attend the festival?” I asked. As we approached the yard where the festival was held, I was astounded by the sight. It was a vast and beautiful structure and I admired it so much.
I got carried away and Lost in admiration, The courtyard was so big, I didn't realize my mouth had fallen open until Yata snapped her fingers at me. I felt a little bit embarrassed, "I guess your former Alpha's home isn't like this one right?" She asked and I nodded slowly.
"There's a reason we're called the wealthiest pack" she teased. In the expansive court yard, Yata instructed me to wait while she went into the house. Amazed by the grandness of the pack’s courtyard, I decided to explore a bit. After a brief survey of the environment, I made my way upstairs on search for Yata.
I overheard some voices and began Following the voices, I paused at the room where the voice echoed. I peeked into a room where Yata was engaged in a conversation with someone.
Initially facing away I could see how masculine and attractive he was. He turned, and I found myself frozen.Tall and commanding. He was extremely handsome, with a chiseled jaw that exuded rugged charm and deep blue eyes.
As Yata turned to leave, I hastily departed, nearly stumbling on the stairs. She blocked me on the stairs, instructing that we leave. "I thought we were supposed to go to the festival and have some fun," I questioned. "Yeah, we are going to do that right away.”
"Don't worry. As a member of the pack, l can help you get into the festival even without a pass.” Yata confirmed. “A pass is needed?” I asked, I guessed the pack was more stricter than I imagined.
"Well since that was a burst, I'll take you on a tour round the pack" she consoled. I smiled and nodded in agreement.
Yata guided me through the expansive and beautiful sites of Bluemoon. It's very large in comparison to the Moonville pack. She generously purchased some snacks and drinks. Yata was so nice to me and somehow it seemed she was deriving pleasure from my happiness.
I felt overwhelmed by her generosity and hoped that it wasn't a bait. I loosened up and had so much fun, which I was denied in a long time. Yata went to hang out with some of her friends and I was left alone to admire the whole event.
“Hey,” I said, bumping into someone, lifting my eyes to meet with his. It looked so familiar, the masculine figure from inside the house.
“Can't you see.” He groaned at me. I hissed, “I should be asking you that question for standing in my way.”
“Such disrespect. Who are you?” He sternly asked. I ignored and went in search for Yata. Returning to Yata’s house, she prepared dinner, and over the meal, we engaged in a conversation about my identity.
I didn't see any need tell her that I had an encounter with the man she was having a conversation with inside the house at the festival. So I let it slide away. There was silence while we ate our meal,
"I don't mean to rush you, but I have to know more about you" she gently expressed, Breaking the silence. She wasn't wrong there, but the task of unveiling my story seemed unsettling. Tears streamed down my face as I began having memories of my past. I tussled with where to begin.
"Hey calm down okay, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make you feel that way" she apologized, her hands gently pressed against mine. “I'm sorry, I just..." I began, but she cut me short. “Don't bother yourself about it, It's fine. We'll talk about it when you're ready" she reassured.
"I'm from Moonville pack, and my mate rejected and humiliated me before the whole pack" I confessed, my head tilted to the ground. “Oh goodness, I'm so sorry about that" she empathized, patting my back.
"Alright you should relax a bit, before you take your medication and go to bed" she advised. Following her advice, I lay in bed, submerged in my own tears as my brain gave birth to flashbacks of past events. Eventually, tiredness got the best of me, and unconsciously, I drifted into a deep sleep.
For days, Yata didn't bring up the topic again, instead she was maintaining her kindness towards me. I wrestled with whether to trust her or not.As weeks passed, my health improved, My bruises and scars healed up a little. All other werewolves had the power to heal up quickly but my case was different as always.
After considering Yata’s genuine niceness towards me, I decided to officially join the Bloodmoon pack once and for all and then, fully confide in Yata. I was fully prepared to face whatever consequences may arise later.
That next day, before a full moon ceremony. I opened up to Yata. Yata proved to be an attentive listener, allowing me to narrate the entire story to her without any form of interruption.
"Oh dear, I'm so sorry you went through all that" she dragged me into her bossom, consoling me, surrounding me in her warm comforting hug.A feeling of transformation swept over me, whether from her kindheartedness or the release of my pent-up emotions. I felt a newfound connection to her. For the first time in my life I felt what it means to be truly accepted and appreciated by someone who wasn't mother or father.
“Yata, I've made up my mind to join Bloodmoon" I confided. “Really, Are you sure about that?" she inquired. I nodded in affirmation.”I think I'm ready to let go of the old bond I have with the Moonville pack".
Standing up, Yata picked a little Knife and instructed me to Open up my hands, which I did. "With your hands open, Now repeat after me" she directed. “I, Sophia, I hearby break my bond with Moonville pack and become a member of Bloodmoon pack.” I repeated, just as instructed.
Upon finalizing the ritual, I felt a peculiar feeling, something puzzling. “Alright, It's done" she announced with a smile. “Welcome, Sophia" she conveyed through the mind link, and I reciprocated, "Thank you". As a member of Bloodmoon, I now could use the mind net to communicate with anyone within the pack.
Excitement filled the air as we attended the full moon ceremony. I saw that weird rude man again. However, This time around, my attention couldn't help but be captivated by the image of the man. Rude but handsome and his handsomeness held my gaze, and somehow, even as I was irritated by his earlier rude nature I felt an unexplainable draw towards him.
I noticed that he had his eyes on me also, his gaze roaming shamelessly around my body. Yata had left me to go get some drinks for us. Anticipating her return. I waited as she came back with excitement. Suddenly, something haffling occurred.
The weird rude man who had been staring at me came close to me, Sniffing me. I found it so embarrassing so I pushed him away angrily. Suddenly, Two hefty men with a silver whip came into the scene, Holding me forcefully. While the man stood by, smiling maniacally. This man is really rude and shameless.
“Take her home!” He said in a commanding tone. I experienced a surge of anger and pain, feeling mixed emotions as I got held captive for no reason. “Take me where? Why? Let me go! What is wrong with you?” I yelled, struggling to break free from their strong grip.
"What is happening?" I murmured in pain as I searched around for Yata, clutching my chest, which felt like it was on the verge of exploding.
Could this be the bait I suspected earlier? I trusted Yata, why can't I find her anywhere now?
