KATHARINA The first thing I felt was flesh in my palms. Warm, solid flesh, where fur should have been. For half a second, my mind froze, refusing to process what my senses were telling me, insisting I was mistaken. Then my gaze focused. Broad shoulders pressed against my chest. The unmistakable lines of a grown man’s upper body. Slowly, my eyes traveled upward—only to collide with a pair of striking blue eyes, wide with panic and unease, yet unmistakably the same eyes I had seen on the pup.
