~ Lily ~ The following afternoon at the garage, someone tugs on Hector’s jeans immediately we pass through the gate. He stops walking immediately, and I follow his gaze downward to find a little girl no older than six staring up at him with complete confidence, one hand wrapped around the fabric of his jeans as though she’d been expecting him all morning. “There you are,” she announces, like she’d been waiting for him to arrive.
