Chapter 2

1438 Words
Just then, a loud crash sounded from outside the courtyard as the gate was kicked off its hinges. A figure appeared, dodging the bullets that Sam and his men frantically fired like a ghost. The figure's fist shot out like a bullet, crashing into Jack with bone-shattering force! Under the horrified gazes of Sam and the others, Jack's large body exploded into pieces! Sam gasped, too stunned to even wipe the blood off his face, and he took a step back. "W-who are you? What do you want?" Ignoring Sam, Liam's gaze locked onto the little girl sitting blankly on the ground. "Sasha... my daughter... Ahhh!!!" Liam let out a heart-wrenching scream. At that moment, Liam's heart felt like it was being ripped apart. He was the Divine Lord, a name that struck fear across the globe! Yet his only child, his precious daughter, had been tortured to this extent! And nearly dissected alive! Boom! An unprecedented rage filled Liam's mind. Sam's panic was fleeting, quickly replaced by cold calculation. "So, you're the father of this little brat, huh?" Even though Liam's skills had shocked him, Sam knew he had the backing of the Greene family! So, what if this guy is a skilled fighter? To those ancient noble families with hundreds or even thousands of years of history, he was nothing more than a slightly competent dog! "Bastard, you killed one of the Greene family's men. If you want to live, you better tell Cree Montgomery to obey my young master! Once Master Greene is done with her, he'll give her back." A cruel smirk curled on Sam's lips as he spat out, "A useless father, a s*ut, and a dumb daughter—all neatly together..." Suddenly, Sam's smug voice was cut short. Gulp... Angelica flicked the blood off her blade and crushed Sam's head under her foot. She respectfully bowed to Liam, "My Lord, what should we do with the rest of them?" "Gut them and send their bodies back to the Greene family!" Liam ordered coldly. He then walked over to Sasha, crouched down, and gently cradled her in his arms. As strong as he was, Liam's voice trembled uncontrollably at this moment. "Sasha, I'm so sorry... Daddy came too late..." No matter how desperately Liam called her name, Sasha remained unresponsive, her tiny voice murmuring, "Daddy will come... Daddy will save us..." Liam stroked Sasha's head, holding her tightly against his chest. Hot tears streamed uncontrollably from his eyes, his heart shattered! Carefully lifting his daughter, Liam ignored the screams around him, speaking in a slow, deep voice that sounded almost like a vow, "I've let you and your mom suffer too much! But now, Daddy's back! As for all the humiliation you've endured, I will make them pay dearly for that!!" *** Thunderheads gathered ominously over the city, casting a shadow of impending doom. The once clear sky now threatened a brewing storm. "It's about to change..." An elegantly dressed silver-haired elder stared at the darkening sky, letting out a heavy sigh. Intelligence agencies from all over the world scrambled to send emergency messages up the chain of command at the highest security levels. The Azure Radiance Organization, the colossal beast that had always lurked in the shadows, seemed to be baring its sharp claws! Within the Azure Radiance, the news had already sparked a fury. The daughter of the Divine Lord must not be humiliated! All high-ranking members of the Azure Radiance from around the world were converging on Ramapo! Even the elite units from the special forces known as the Sword of Judgment were being mobilized from various locations and beginning to gather in Ramapo. Bang! Jimmy, the leader of the Blood Hand Mercenaries, dropped his wine glass to the floor, the crimson liquid staining his expensive suit. Jimmy grabbed his subordinate by the collar, yelling in a frenzy, "What did you say?! The Sword of Judgment is converging on Ramapo!?" The subordinate, his face pale, nodded weakly. Jimmy collapsed back into his chair, the once-healed wound where his arm had been severed now aching with a phantom pain. He would never forget that battle a year ago, a fight burned into his memory forever. The so-called world's best, the Blood Hand Mercenaries, were nearly wiped out. As for himself, he had left his right arm in that scorching desert. And back then, his opponents had only been a tactical squad from the Sword of Judgment... In the meantime, similar scenes were unfolding in different locations. Governments around the world were plunged into a state of panic and uncertainty. But none were more desperate than Orion Salazar, the mayor of Ramapo. Bang! "Useless! All of you are useless!" Orion shouted furiously as he slammed a folder down onto the table. "So many elite fighters from the Azure Radiance are converging on Ramapo, and the Sword of Judgment's bayonets are practically at my throat! And yet, you didn't get a single word of it!" Just three minutes earlier, he had received word that the Sword of Judgment was about to complete the encirclement of Ramapo. It wouldn't be long before not even a fly could escape the city! As Orion was panicking, the secure phone on his desk rang. Seeing it as his lifeline, he dashed over in a few steps, his voice filled with urgency. "General, Ramapo is about to be surrounded. Should I organize a counterattack..." "For God's sake, put away that foolish idea immediately! Cooperate with them unconditionally! Remember, unconditionally!" A long silence followed from the other end of the line, accompanied by a heavy sigh. "Do you know, the Divine Lord's daughter has been kidnapped and gravely injured? And it happened right here in Ramapo!" Orion's mind went blank upon hearing this. 'It's over! Who dared to kidnap the daughter of the lord?' *** In a private villa, a man with a sharp, sinister appearance backhanded a nearby bodyguard and shouted, pointing at a blood-soaked wooden crate in the yard, "Useless! All of you are useless! Where is that little b*tch? Have you found her yet?" A group of bodyguards in black suits stood in the courtyard, heads lowered, not daring to make a sound. The failure to keep Cree under control had put Ike Greene in an extremely foul mood. He had thought that kidnapping Cree's daughter would ensure everything was under his control, but things had gone awry. "I don't care what you have to do. We must find that little brat at any cost!" Ike kicked the wooden crate in anger. "Clean this up and find out who did this!" The bodyguards in black nodded and retreated. Dozens of maids with pleasant appearances began cleaning up the mess in the courtyard. Three minutes later, as the courtyard returned to its normal state, Ike's anger finally began to subside. The butler walked in from outside, speaking respectfully. "Young master, Miss Montgomery is here." Upon hearing this, Ike's eyes lit up, and a evil smile crept across his lips. 'Cree Montgomery, you're finally here to beg me! You won't escape from my grasp today!' Ike's mood instantly lifted, and he hummed a tune as he walked into the villa. Despite having seen her many times before, Ike's heart still raced uncontrollably when he saw Cree sitting on the sofa. Whether it was through kidnapping or shorting Montgomery family stocks, it was all for this woman! "Miss Montgomery, you're finally here." Feigning gentlemanliness, Ike approached and extended his hand for a handshake. Cree, her face pale and haggard, remained seated on the sofa without any movement, her expression icy. Being ignored, Ike's smile stiffened, and his face slowly darkened. Just a moment ago, when he reached out his hand, he had clearly seen the intense disgust in Cree's eyes. How could someone as arrogant as him tolerate this? 'You b*itch! Let's see how long you can keep this act up! I'll make sure you willingly bow and serve me soon enough! ' Cree pulled a contract from her bag and placed it on the coffee table. Taking a deep breath, she stood up, ready to leave. "Mr. Greene, the contract is drafted. I have other matters to attend to, so I'll take my leave." Leaning back on the sofa, Ike greedily eyed Cree from head to toe. "Leaving? You think you can just walk out of here without my approval? Do you think the Greene family's money is that easy to take?" Ike patted his leg and crooked a finger at Cree. "I've done such a big favor for the Montgomery family; don't you think Miss Montgomery should..."
