The atmosphere froze instantly. "Let go of me!" Alice forcefully pulled her hand away from Kyson, her face full of anger. "Show some respect!"
Kyson, however, seemed oblivious to her reprimand, gazing at Alice with deep affection. "Alice, do you know how much I've missed you over these years? Back then, I was so angry that I made those mistakes, hurting your parents. Please, give me another chance?"
Alice avoided Kyson's gaze, her face full of disgust. She never imagined Kyson would pull something like this. Talking about starting over? It had always been one-sided from the start. Every time she clearly rejected him, Kyson twisted it into some kind of test that he believed she was giving him.
As Kyson spoke, he moved forward, trying to grab Alice again, but Liam firmly grasped his arm.
