The moment my lips touched Isobel’s forehead, I knew I had crossed a line I really tried my best not to. It wasn’t something that I planned. I wasn’t even thinking about it but when I saw the pain in her eyes and the vulnerability thatvshe tried so hard to hide, I just acted on instinct, without even thinking and realizing what I had done.
For a second, I just stayed there, and let my lips linger on her skin. Her scent was so addicting. She smelled like vanilla and jasmine, and I didn’t want to pull away. I just wanted to revel in it but I could sense her sadness, too.
When I finally pulled back, I was still holding her hand and I held her so tight like I wasn’t ready to let go.
