Chapter 20
Sarah couldn’t sleep. Not when she had so many things weighing so heavily on her mind. She wanted to tell Cooper, like a Band-Aid, just rip it off and don’t prolong it, but every time she tried, she couldn’t find the words. She couldn’t seem to get her head and her heart on the same page. So she let him fall asleep without a single mention that she was carrying his child.
She stared down at him, all gorgeous tan and long lashes, and wondered what their baby would look like. If it would be a boy or girl. Would she have his blue eyes or her brown ones? Would the baby have freckles like Tommy? So many questions, and the more she thought about them, the less scared she became.
