Cathy slung her camera strap over her shoulder and tiptoed out of the house to avoid waking her grandmother and her cat Oliver who was still asleep on her bed. It was a lovely May morning in Buttercup Bend and the perfect time to catch the sunrise. She stopped at the end of her block and gazed across the rooftops of the neighboring homes at the Catskill Mountains in the distance. Aiming her camera, she took a few shots of the pearly skies dipping into the mountain peaks. Continuing her walk, she paused several times to take more pictures. The whole town seemed to be in bloom with neatly planted flowerbeds mixing with wildflowers in a profusion of colors that burst in vivid shades.
