I had been expecting brutality, but what I was witnessing was on another level.
The opponent was a large horned creature with dark wings which were lined with silver.
Sam had opted to remain in his human form while he was fighting, and I was sure that was on my account.
I peeked from between my fingers as he was flung across the arena, dropping right into the coals.
He looked up at me before turning back to his opponent.
And then he took his true form.
His large, twisted dark horns protruded from his head, his dark hair still hung down his back, his already tall frame grew taller and his huge wings sprung from his back.
"Whoa." I couldn't help but be impressed at his form.
