"So what’s the score between you and Archer?" Connor asked after training ended.
Cyan and Kayden both looked at him, but Connor just smiled like he had been waiting to ask that. Shiloh paused while cleaning his duffel bag.
"It’s complicated," he said honestly. "I don’t know… it’s really a complicated relationship," he added with a quiet sigh. Kayden watched him carefully.
"But do you have feelings for him?" he asked.
Shiloh froze for a moment. Archer’s face flashed in his mind without warning. Connor noticed the silence and raised a brow.
"Does that silence mean yes?" he asked. Shiloh exhaled slowly.
"Yes," he whispered. "I’m sorry," he added. Kayden frowned slightly.
"Why are you apologizing? I don’t see anything wrong with it," he said.
"It just feels wrong," Shiloh replied.
