"Did my uncle talk?" Alec asked Mikee while lighting the cigarette between his fingers. The faint glow of the flame reflected in his eyes as he took a slow drag. Mikee shook his head. "He refused to talk, sir. He also refused the money. He said it’s his patient’s right to remain unknown for as long as they want," he replied. Alec pursed his lips, exhaling smoke slowly. He knew his uncle was stubborn, but he didn’t expect him to reject the offer outright. That alone told him how serious the situation was. He tapped the cigarette lightly, his mind already working.
