“Is everyone here? Silva asked loudly. “Yes! Different voices chorused in unison.
“ Okay! I hope you are aware and you understand the decision made by the pack is for the safety of you all! I am the crowned Luna of Holy Grey pack and I promise to try my best to protect you all, even if I have to die, this is my responsibility. I want you all to know that there will be danger ahead, we might meet our enemies, or rogues who will want to kill us as some of them might have gotten the information of us going to the Zion’s Alpha to seek protection.
“ Now! I want to ask, if you wish to stay back in the pack, to continue living a normal life, I promise the enemies won’t go after you as I will make sure to remove the brand of my pack from your body. Think Thrice before making a choice, and if you insist you are going with us, make sure you are fit enough to endure hardship on the way, as I might not be able to share my attention while leading a fight. If you wish to stay back in the pack, Move to the left! Silva ordered as she addressed her people.
Silva looked at the people who walked to the left, her eyes cold but she knew it was for the best, besides it was good for both sides, as she couldn’t bring the whole pack with her, she preferred the old and the pregnant woman to stay back. It’s better to be a rogue after they are unbounded, than to follow along when they know only death awaits them.
“ Is that all?! Please think wisely, and if that’s all let’s start with breaking the vows and bond.
“ Wait Luna! A scantily dressed man raised his hands, who is among the soldiers raised his hands
“What is it Lucas? Silva asked as she looked at him.
“As a soldier who ought to protect his pack till death, I know I am wrong to back out of the pack in times of trouble, but I would love to stay back with my pregnant wife, she is all I have left as family, please punish me Luna!! Lucas said shakily as he knelt in front of her.
His pregnant Omega, stood stupidly in the group on the left, her eyes turned red as she forced back her tears. She knew how much her husband loved the pack and the people, so she thought he would be leaving her here alone for sure but... she was speechless.
“ If that’s what you want, Lucas, I won’t blame you, thank you for the support you have given to this pack since the war started. I appreciate you and every single soldier who risks their life fighting for our home.
“Now stretch your left hands, as it’s almost time for us to set off. Silva said some gentle incantations, as her gentle voice flowed across the hall, they felt weakness all over their body. Their bodies felt heavy.
“By the power given to me by the moon goddess, I, Luna of Holy Grey Pack, denounce you all from being wolves from my pack!
Tears poured out of the denouncers, they felt empty, but they had no choice either, they were either too old or weak and they knew they would delay their journey, so why not stay back, they know even if they die here, it’s worth it.
“I wish you all the best, and may the Moon Goddess protect you all. ***************************************
After an hour of making arrangements, Silva set out with her people. After rushing all morning, Silva called for a stopover, she felt it was time for them to eat and rest before continuing her journey.
She ordered the Omegas to share the meal, she knew things would be difficult as time passed, looking at her people eating what was given, she called the pack elders to the side.
“I want to know how many people are here... Silva asked them.
“ Luna, after counting we have 195 soldiers, which consist of more Alpha and just 20 Betas, as for the Omegas, we have 30 of them. In addition to us, we have 130 people with us. Garrick a male werewolf and a Strategist In the pack replied.
“I want everyone to know their responsibilities, at least protect our people until we reach the Zion pack. We are their pillar and we can’t break, because if we do, your families are the one to suffer it. Silva advised.
“Yes Luna!
“ Garrick! Stay with me as we look into the map, I want a more detailed one, a bit different from what other packs have, if possible I want our journey to be a bit peaceful.
“ I will Luna! Garrick replied dutifully.
Turning to the Only Female Alpha left in the group of elders, Silva's tone softened a lots.
“Sia... Thank you for your support so far, I would like to have you focused on the Omegas throughout the journey. No matter how weak they are, we won’t deny how useful they have been so far, all you need to do is supervise them.
“ Am always happy to help my Luna, we should be thanking you for not abandoning us. Sia replied, her head bowed in respect.
“And Liam and Dan, I want you to supervise the soldiers, take some of them to be on war patrol, but they shouldn’t go far. Just stay safe. And if you notice any movement be sure to inform us.
“Well Taken in, Luna!! Liam and Dan both chorused. Liam and Dan being Alpha and Beta twins, Liam being an Alpha while Dan is a Beta, both are Military Generals in the pack.
After making necessary arrangements, Silva used the time while they were resting and eating to work on the map with Garrick.
“I noticed something in the map Luna, something feels wrong here. Garrick said, pointing at a place on the map.
“ What's wrong with that? And where is this place? Silva asked as she tried to understand what was wrong.
“ This is where we are now, the Beaded Forest, though it looks safe when we check, but I noticed it’s the best place to lay a trap, and what do you think Barn leaves attract? Garrick asked
“ Everyone knows Barn leaves attract weak wolves in packs, but there are no Barn leaves here.
“ Yes it’s not here, but just a kilometer away, and they have sharp ears which can detect little noises, we need to leave from here Luna!
“ It’s too late! They are here. Silva said, as she stood up when she heard the cry of a soldier, who called for everyone to gather.
Silva rushed to the place immediately, with Garric following.
“Soldiers! Get ready to attack them, as they are still weak but be careful as they move in packs.
“Omegas! Hide far away! Silva ordered as she joined her soldiers in the battle.
