Rose widened her eyes, incredulous, "Julian, are you crazy? You want me to apologize to her? What is she?"
"I said apologize!" Julian repeated.
"No, why should I apologize to her?"
"Fine, I'll call Mr. Lane and ask him personally how he's raising his daughter."
The situation grew tense, and the surrounding staff lowered their heads, pretending not to see.
Harvey walked in just in time, breaking the deadlock, "I'll apologize to Miss Brooks on Rose's behalf. Of course, I believe Miss Brooks isn't that kind of person."
"Miss Brooks?" Julian scoffed, his icy gaze falling on Vanessa. "You know each other?"
"Quit that job, and don't go to violin lessons anymore."
Julian's words were an order, not a suggestion.
