Walking towards the elevators, Jerry's call came. A layer of frost reappeared on Julian's face. "What is it?"
"Mr. Frost… Miss Vanessa seems to have gone to the Civil Affairs Bureau with Perry," Jerry said, anxious yet hesitant to express himself. "Should we stop them?"
This trip felt like a gamble.
On the way, Vanessa's guilt outweighed her unease. Perry was driving fast, but his phone kept ringing.
It was Cameron.
He glanced at it and hung up.
"Why aren't you answering Uncle Voss' call?"
"It's not too late to answer after we've taken care of things."
Though that's what he said, they both knew that he wasn't answering the phone because he was afraid someone would interfere.
