The reception was almost over.
Vanessa and Julian didn’t reappear.
Perry was the first to notice something was wrong. He left early and searched the entire hotel, almost demanding to see the security footage. Seeing him running around breathlessly, Cliff sat back and watched the show. Maria adjusted her shawl, leaning closer to Cliff’s ear, “What’s going on?”
Most of the guests had already left.
Maria and Cliff were waiting for Julian.
