The three waited together. Evelyn had tried to persuade Julian to leave first, but he refused. Early morning. A call came from the housekeeper at home. Julian walked aside to answer. "Sir, Miss Madison asked when you'll be back. She can't sleep alone." The corridor was quiet, the wind whistling through, drying the patch of blood on Julian's cuff, the blood turning dark red. "Didn't Adrian stay with her?" "Miss Madison wants to wait for you. She said she's not familiar with Mr. Voss." A few days ago, Julian would have returned without hesitation, solely because of Leila's face, so similar to Ivy's. But now, his heart leaned more towards Vanessa in the hospital room. But weighing the options, Julian still chose Leila. "I understand." Before leaving, Julian went to take another look.
