Perry was considered a confidant of his boss, so he still had to show some respect. Adrian wanted to get closer, but the fear of Freda's a***e hadn't faded. Vanessa lowered her head and trembled. Perry stepped in front of her, blocking Adrian's gaze. He chuckled. "Stop pretending. If you're better, get discharged soon. Leila needs someone over there. She's in much worse shape than you."
