"Ready to go?" Marissa's voice is hopeful with a tinge of excitement. Glancing over, I can see her smile remains small as she stands next to my car with Alan, but it's strained. Like she's containing it from encompassing her entire face. And I know that's her way of being respectful of my emotions. Because unlike her and Alan and the guys waiting for me at the other vehicle, I'm anything but excited. Turning back, I take one last look at the cabin. Its wooden exterior remains warm in both hue and aura while lit up by the rising sun; a true home away from home. I've looked at this place for over a month, enjoying the comfort of an easy life behind its walls. But now, I have to return to reality. A very different reality than the one I knew two months ago, but the real world all the same.
