Both men take deep breaths before approaching the oak tree. Eric joins me, sitting on another root, while Joey leans against the tree trunk, still standing. His expression isn't angry or anything. Just pensive, his whole focus on me. "What exactly about tomorrow do you want to know?" he asks tentatively. I answer honestly. "Everything? The more I understand, the better."
