Hunter’s POV:
“Poisoned, doctor?” I feel a lump in my throat that I can’t seem to swallow. I look over at Justin who is as wide eyed as I feel and has shoved his hands in his pockets. Both of us seem a little unsettled by the news.
“Yes, poisoned. It seems that someone gave her batrachotoxin.” The doctor replies.
“Wait. You mean the poison from those tiny frogs? Isn’t that lethal?” Justin chimes in.
“Usually, yes it is. But whoever did this, they did not use enough of it to kill her seeing how she is an Alpha.”
Justin and I freeze. He did the blood work on her and can tell that she is an Alpha. That means he will surely find out that she is Alpha John’s daughter.
