Emily’s POV:
When Hunter left the room in a hurry to go talk with the Elders, he left me and Justin in the hospital room alone. At first it was awkward. A few nurses came in to check on me and I apologized to each of them as they did. It had been about half an hour before anyone said anything.
Justin turned to me and opened his mouth to speak, but before he got anything I cut him off.
“Why are you here?” The words rushed out of my mouth and I couldn’t help the facial expression that I felt go across my face.
He looked taken aback by my question. He looked down and scanned the floor before looking back up at me with this angry look on his face. When he looked up at me like that, I swear I could get lost in those blue eyes. His stare alone could put me in a trance.
