Samantha’s POV

I am so happy i found my mate. I only turned 18 last week, so I wouldn’t have noticed that Shelby was going to be my mate. She is beautiful and I love that she’s taller than me, not by much, but still.

We were currently walking downstairs to see our parents and I kind of want to tell them that we are mates, but Shelby wants to take things slow. I totally understand why though. This is our first time meeting and it’s been hard for not only her, but myself in the last 10 years of our lives.

“Were you guys plotting our deaths up there?” Amira, Shelby’s mother asked.

My father chuckled at her question as well. I guess Shelby was right, they were thinking we were plotting something.

“No Ms.Jameson. We were actually getting along and getting to know each other a little since we haven’t met in the last few months.” I responded politely.

“I know Sam, I was just kidding anyways, also you don’t have to be so formal, you can call me Amira. I believe I’ve told you countless of times before.” She chuckled.

“I’m sorry, it won’t happen again… Amira.” I smiled.

I looked over at Shelby and seen her smiling at me. Goddess, she’s so perfect.

Sammy can we just tell them now. I don’t want to wait anymore. I want our mate.. Skylar whined.

I know Sky, I do too. But we have to respect mates decision. She offered us to go out on a run tonight and maybe we can sleep over. We will see how it goes. I explained to her.

We sat down on the sofa across from our parents and I took a deep breath in. Shelby smelled intoxicating. Her scent was a mixture of pine and mint. Both natural and fresh at the same time. It made my wolf crazy.

“So mom, Michael, I have some good news.” Shelby started.

Goddess I hope she tell them what I think she is.

“What is it sweet heart?” Amira asked her.

We all looked at Shelby, awaiting the news she was about to give.

“Not only did I get a raise today at work, but I found my mate.” She responded coolly.

My breath hitched got lodged into my throat, hoping she would tell them it was me. I know she said she wants to take it slow, but maybe she’s giving them a heads up.

“Really sweetie? I am so happy for you, are you comfortable with sharing who your mate is with us?” Her mother squeaked in delight.

Shelby turned and looked at me, almost as if asking for permission, which I was gladly accepting.

We both looked at our parents and said each others name in unison. They were shocked at first, but they both looked at each other and smiled. They almost looked like they were two toddlers in a candy store.

My father got up and shook Shelby’s hand. Amira came and gave me a tight bear hug. Our parents swapped places and gave us a hug themselves.

“We are so happy you two found each other through our mate bond. I know you two will take care of each other and be happy. You two are like two peas in a pod!” Her mother had finally said when they sat back down.

“I know for the longest you have taken care of your mother since the incident. And for that I am greatly appreciative. I know you will do the same for my daughter.” My father spoke up.

“I promise I will sir. And if I may ask, would you possibly allow Samantha to spend the night tonight and to join me on my nightly run?” Shelby had asked my father.

“I had actually planned on taking your mother out for dinner and taking her back to my pack tonight to watch a movie or two with me. So, Sammy, that is your decision, you can either stay the night tonight or I can drop you off at home before Amira and I go out.” He stated.

“As long it is okay with you both, I would like to stay here and get to spend time with Shelby. Thank you for asking, both of you.” I had replied and looked at both my father and my mate.

“Then that is settled. The girls won’t be home alone in separate houses tonight. We will know they are both safe. And we finally get some alone time.” Amira purred and winked at my father.

“Gross mom! Save that for the room tonight!” Shelby screeched at her, giggling afterwards.

“Oh I will honey. I am going to go upstairs and pack an overnight bag and get ready. Girls I will leave some money on the table if you want to order pizza and drinks. If not, Shelby, I stocked the fridge up earlier today incase you wanted to cook tonight.” Her mother had told us. She and my father had stood up getting ready to head upstairs to get ready to leave.

“Thank you Ms….. Amira.” I thanked.

“It’s no problem sweeties, and Shelby, please make sure you lock the doors tight tonight and set up the security system.” She reminded.

“Of course mom, be safe out there. I love you.” Shelby nodded.

“I love you dad!” I told my father.

Both of our parents told us they loved us and headed up the stairs. I touched Shelby’s finger tips, to be cautious. I wanted to hold her hand and have her pull me into her so I could breathe in her intoxicating scent. But i wanted it to be on her own accords.

Instead, she grabbed my hand and stood up. He had motioned for me to stand as well, so I did. She led me back into her room and started to grab extra blankets and pillows out of her closet.

She placed them on her bed and grabbed my hand again.

“Would you like to come with me and grab snacks? I have a movie in mind that we can watch for now.” Shelby asked.

I only nodded and we headed back downstairs. We grabbed chips, beef jerky, sodas, flavored waters, sweets and a bag of kettle corn. We headed back upstairs and stocked our drinks into the miniature fridge in her bedroom. She had a really nice bedroom, let alone her house was beautiful too. She had a massive bed and at least a 100 inch flatscreen Roku tv.

We climbed into her bed, sitting only a few inches away from each other. She turned the lights off and made sure the security system was on, on her phone. She then turned the tv on and logged onto Netflix.

“Have you ever seen the movie Major Payne?” Shelby turned and asked me.

“No, what is it about?” I responded to her.

“What?! This is like the most funniest movie out there! The humans really out done this movie and it’s one of my favorites.” She laughed.

“Well, let’s watch it then!” I exclaimed.

She turned the movie on and we both reached for the bag of jerky. Our hands brush against each other and I felt the many sparks coursing through my veins. I know she feels it too because I see her wolf trying to take over. It was the same for me. Sky wanted to meet her mate fully and I was some how losing at the fight this time.

Skylar’s POV

When our hand brushed against our mates hand, I wanted to be let lose so I could meet our mate. I looked over at Shelby and she was breathtaking.

What are you so nervous about me meeting our mate Sammy? I linked to her in the back of our head.

You better be careful Sky I don’t want to lose her already. You need to behave yourself. She bit at me.

“Hi, im Skylar.” I introduced.

I could see Shelby’s eyes flicker from green to grey. Her eyes were so beautiful just like the rest of her. Eventually her eyes went completely grey and I noticed her wolf, Lunar come out to meet me as well.

“Hi Skylar, I’m Lunar. You’re eyes are beautiful!” She proclaimed.

“Your eyes are magnificent!” I responded back.

I leaned forward and brushed a piece of her hair back. As I did so, she leaned into my touch and purred.

“I am so happy we finally found you and Samantha. We have been waiting for our mates since we could remember.”Lunar said.

“I guess the feelings mutual.” We both giggled.

It was so hard not to kiss our mate already. I wanted to make her ours forever but I know Samantha would kill me for not taking it slow like she said we should do.

“Well, I guess the girls can have their bodies back now. It was nice being able to meet you Lunar.” I purred.

“Same for you Skylar.” She purred back.

Our eyes switched back to our normal color and let the girls take control again.

Samantha’s POV

I looked over at Shelby and we both blushed.

“I think that went well, don’t you think?” She asked.

“Yeah, to be honest with you I had to fight Skylar from not mating you right here and now.” I chuckled. Her blush deepens into a dark rosy hue.

Shelby turned and started watching the movie and I continued to take in her beauty. After a few minutes I turned at watched the movie with her. After a few moments, I felt her soft slim fingers link into mine. We sat there smiling and laughing at the movie and enjoying each others company.

Shelby’s POV

The movie was coming to an end and Samantha had fallen asleep on my shoulder. I guess it was getting pretty late. I pushed all of the snacks and wrappers to the floor to clean up tomorrow and help Samantha lay down. I covered both of us up in the large blanket I had laid over our laps earlier and laid down next to her. She snuggled up into my chest and I took in her intoxicating scent of pumpkin and spices. Her soft snores and her scent lulled me into a deep sleep that I haven’t had since I was a little girl.
