They had both experienced a strange phenomenon of warmth emanating from stones that seemed to be linked to their new powers somehow, and that made them nervous.
Kirin’s ruby had distracted him from seeing where Naoki had gone, but he had to be around the building, somewhere. Though both of them had tried to get through to Naoki’s phone, there had been no answer, and when they returned to the dressing room, Kai’s phone turned out to be sitting on the table, the little notification light blinking angrily with missed calls.
