April Fool's Day

585 Words
It was April 1st, year 2016.  A new year has already approached. A year she consider special herself. She spent the remaining one fourth of the year mentally invested with this girl she barely even know. All she is feeding her was, her existence. The view of her makes her feel good of her existence too.  She's not like the typical type to fall for her but she did. She always cared for her reputation and image as a lover of someone. A lover of art and aesthetics of the sky.  It is new to her that she easily caught her with her eyes, even having the warmest smiles.  Her eyes, and innocence. She consider her eyes that tells the purest and truest things. A new to town gal she never thought she will fall for. She is out there, she is sure of it. That's what she thought as she want to sweep the dancefloor to search for her. She asked for the most delicate star's hand today. She will totally mark this day. And every month that will dare pass her.  She is the star she knew for many months.  The star she thought of ever since she saw her here. Everyday she is showing up to work and her attending to her favorite place. The first time she knew she stand out the most at her favorite place. Because of the warmth of her smile. And how it reached her at her favorite spot. Despite the meters gap of distance between her and her. She asked her hand recklessly on April fool's day. Indeed reckless. "Is it our turn?" she asked her. "What?" she answered as the music boomed and didn't clearly heard her. "Is it our turn?" she asked her again louder this time. "What turn?" she almost shout at her ear a she answered. "Tagalugin mo" she answered. "Ano?" she asked her again. "Sabi ko tagaulugin mo!" she shouted at her. She laughed at her response and said "Yes", and then smiled at her way. She didn't knew what she is thinking. That's what she thought. They are in a large crowd. A crowd of people dancing recklessly. Chelsea, and everyone else are nowhere to be found at the dancefloor. None of them knew where are their friends.  On the bar counter or here, also stuck or somewhere here in the dancefloor with them. The music is loud, so is her heart. Pounding faster than the beat of the song played by the DJ.  The crowd makes it hard to breathe for them, because there are so many people in the  club with them.  But the pounding in her chest plus her adrenaline, makes it her harder for her to breathe. The people are dancing non stop to the music, while she is stiffened in front of a perfect girl she consider. This was her first time seeing her partying, wilder than she ever is. They are not celebrating but she is. Because she said "Yes", at first she doubts her answer until she do not care.  That's the least of her care she thought. The important thing is that she said yes. Later she knew, she will definitely pray that it is true. That even she is not sober at this moment, she will remember she said yes to her. And hopefully she will realize that she said yes because it is April fool's day. Hopefully, she said yes because she is feeling the same way for her too.
