Evelyn stood before Adrian and brushed her fingertips over the back of his uninjured hand.
His fingers closed around hers before she could pull away. Warmth spread through her skin, steady and firm.

“The wound needs observation. He should have someone with him tonight. The top-floor VIP suite at Silver Spring Medical Center is available. It has private nursing and continuous monitoring. He should be moved there.”
