Rabbit was almost over by the time I found myself returning back to the Enso to take the Arch-mage up his offer of a magic lesson. It had taken some time to help the Gunjabmi’s out of the city, longer still to see them settled in their new home. The twins had sent word that The Blossoming was closed for good, Stinger behind bars for drug, s*x and human trafficking violations. Relieved, I’d taken a week off to relax and get my bearings back, something I probably should have done long before. Now, I was back in the wilds, my pack heavy with mail, my boots pounding the hard earth up Mrs. Herold’s lane.
