Chapter 10 starving, hunger makes strange friends searching for answers in clouds I ran through the rest of my deliveries on auto-pilot, barely remembering to smile. Kuma’s poem remained an enigma, Innis a maddening distraction, and the Night Seekers had dug under my skin like a thorn. I was frustrated. I was hurt. I was confused. I didn’t want to be any of those things, so I tried to simply be zen. No thoughts. No feelings. I sucked at being zen. Not that anyone seemed to notice or care. I dropped off four letters and five small parcels, all of them marked Carry with Care, all of them met with wide smiles and eager hands. All of them clasped to chests, received with thanks, and torn into before I hit the streets. I saved the best for last, an-off world letter for Lady Nestra Laroche
