Chapter 15 white eye gazes down people scurry, hurry home lives change, stay the same The elevator waited, Zeddie smiling, but Viv was nowhere in the hall. I waved to Zeddie and indicated I’d be taking the stairs. No way did I want to leave Viv on her own and I could only assume she’d decided to walk off some of her steam.
