Irene's POV
My heart almost jumped out of my chest as my eyes widened in fear. I released my hold on the handle of the luggage I was holding onto. My heart pounded in my ear with my heart thudding in my chest as I let out a scream that came back as echoes in my ear. I fell to the ground instantly, waiting for my deadly end as I squeezed my eyes shut and covered my ear with my hands while awaiting my deadly end.
All of a sudden, I didn't hear the sound of something crashing against me and somehow, the car stopped abruptly before me.
