Irene's P.O.V
I flicked my eyes open but quickly squeezed it shut because of the blinding lights that seeped through my eyelids. I tried to turn on the bed but a growl slipped out of my mouth because of the jarring pain around my neck. With my eyes squeezed shut, I trailed my hands around the spot, letting out a wince while trying to process what could have caused the pain that I felt.
Slowly, all the memories from yesterday occupied my thoughts as I sat upright on the bed. My eyes fluttered open while I scrutinized the room with my eyes. "Where am I?" I muttered, looking around me in confusion.
