Chapter 15When I wake the next morning it is very early, barely daybreak, but I feel rested. I make myself coffee and check out the publications that Patricia placed under the cookery book. They are all about becoming a foster parent. After I glance at them, I replace them under the book. I know Patricia would like a child in our lives, but I am not interested. We both have work commitments that take up much of our time. If one of us became pregnant then we'd have to deal with the consequences, but it's unlikely to happen. Patricia is a lesbian and although it's possible for her to get pregnant with a donor, she is very unlikely to go down that route, no matter how desperate for a child she becomes. Neither of us is in a relationship, and although we love each other, we are not a couple. T
