The Hooded Girl

1461 Words
Walking through the school doors, the hooded girl reveals herself to the eyes of River High. Her black jeans, leather jacket, and black hoodie with the hood up, hiding her identity to the students around her. Having a dark aura and keeping to herself, nobody ever really messed with her. What happens when one girl bumps into her to bring a large change into her life? The mysterious hooded girl with a secret. Is it bad or good? Hi, I'm Dominic Loretta. I'm just a girl trying to get through high school and out of this small town. I don't talk to others and they don't talk to me. Nobody has messed with me since I moved here about 3 years ago, making me a senior at River High now. There is two of me. The one I am in school, and the one I am out of school. Want to know the real me? I suppose you shall stick around than shouldn't you? ;) Walking through the halls I can see the jocks, cheerleaders, the wanna be populars, gamers, smarts kids, and more. Looking over my schedule I can see I have, great, English. I don't mind English that much. I usually finish early so I just sit back and observe or something like that. Great, just great. English is on the other side of the school from where I entered. Just my luck right? With a sigh I turn around and start heading towards my class. I can see the occasional eyes on my as I walk by, probably used to seeing me by now that I just go unseen. When I first moved here everyone would try talking to me but when they either got no answer or very vague they all eventually gave up on me. Which I am fine with, I prefer being alone anyway- "Omph-" Rounding the corner I felt a body collide with my chest. Looking down I see a blond girl grabbing my hoodie to steady herself. I take the time to study who she is while she is frozen for a second. She is shorter than me with straight blond hair that reaches down to right above her hips. Right as I see her starting to look up and turn my head away before she can see my face, than she start the rambling. Great. "OMG I am sooooo sorry!! I was trying to get to class because they were annoying m-" Rolling my eyes I grab her hands and retract them from my hoodie. Stepping around her I mumble an "its alright" before continuing my walk to class. She was probably confused for a second of how I did not stumble. You also might find it creepy about how I was studying her appearance. It's sort of a habit due to what I do out of school. You will see soon enough. Once getting to my class I walk in to see quite a few people already sitting down. Walking to about the middle of the room, I place my bag on the seat beside me and sit down. I pull my earbuds and phone out to make it appear I am listening to music. Yeah, appear. I am actually a very smart kid and listen in class I just use the earbuds to make it appear I'm not paying attention so that nobody talks to me. Just as the last kid comes through the door, teacher close behind, the bell rings for class to begin. The teacher eyed me for a moment before she looks away and continues to walk to her desk. They had given up on getting me to remove my hood like 2 or 3 years ago. Either I would plain out ignore them or I would just tell them no. I watch as the teacher heads towards the front of the class to start her lesson. "Alright Kiddos, today we are..." I listen to her and start taking notes as she writes them on the board. It was mainly just some class rules, review over some things from last year, etc... Once class was over and the bell rang I grabbed my bag and headed towards the door. I let some kids get in front of me and fell into the crowd in order to stay out of site from anyone. It was just sort of a reflex for me. Walking into the cafeteria for lunch was no different than any other school year. My last three classes were just boring, mainly the same things as English. Class rules and review. Looking around at the tables they still had their own little groupies. I walk towards an empty table in the back of the cafeteria, though something caught my eyes. More people were staring at me than usual. What the hell? I walk close to a table as I pass to hear what they are talking about. "Dude I am not joking she didn't budge! It felt like I ran straight into a clothed wall of steel! Something is just...off about her. I guess it's a good thing we all avoid her anyways." Recognizing the blond girl from before speaking, I roll my eyes. Of course that's why I am getting stared at. She couldn't keep her damn mouth shut, just as per usual cheerleader with some new news on the first day. With a sigh I walk to the empty table and sit down. This time I actually play music as I start to eat. Why are people in school so annoying and can't stick to their own business? Looking over I see a couple of tables still eyeing me so I pull my hood down even more. The rest of my classes were boring although the stares still continued. Hopefully all this should pass within the next week or two as new kids come into the school. As I exit the school building I walked towards the parking lot. Once getting there a light smile appears on my features as I see my beauty sitting there in front me. My matte black motorcycle is my babygirl, I have her and my red one that I will be getting on here soon. Walking over I grab my helmet and slide it on, climbing on to the back of my bike. Starting her up, I listen to my girl come to life. Playing my music, I start driving to my house. Yes. My house. Once I got home I park my babygirl in the garage before entering the house. Feeling my phone start to buzz I grab it and answer the call. "Hello Mom?" "Ahh my darling Dom!! How are things going over at River High!?" I smile slightly before responding. "Same as every year really, stares and talks but it will be over in no time." My mom knows who I really am, actually my whole family does. "That's good. Do you have a fight scheduled for tonight?" Welp, there ya go. There is my secret. "Yeah mom, I got a fight in about....3ish hours? Yeah 3 hours." We continue our talk until I get off the phone to do my homework. Walking upstairs I sit at my desk in my office to finish some work assignments, I'm a street fighter. My parents know about it and although they don't particularly approve of it they supported my decision. They allowed me to save the money from my fights to move out here so that nobody knows me, and I am not a harm to my younger siblings. I have a younger brother and sister who are just adorable. They look exactly like me with my fair skin, black hair and blue eyes. I miss them but this way it is safer for all of us. Once I finish my school work I eat something really light before out to the garage to grab my Babyboy. This one is the red one I mentioned from before. Swapping out my helmet for my 2nd one I climbed onto the back of my bike and turned the baby on. Easing out of the garage, I sped on to the road. Driving my way towards the underground fighting arena that took me ages to get myself into. They are touchy on who they let fight unless you prove yourself in the arena. That took me a while because nobody wanted to fight a girl but I eventually got myself a fight scheduled. Ever since than people got used to me being their and started placing bets on me. I have lost very few of my fights, I can't say I won them all because that would be a lie. Sometimes you have to lose to win in the end.
